To all these people telling SR to F*ck Off, how do you expect this to happen? For them to go, somebody needs to want to buy. How much money does any potential buyer need to have? Enough to a) buy the Club and all the this entails, and b) have a "warchest" big enough to change this current pathetic squad into a winning one. We are probaly not an attractive proposition. Everyone (probably the same people that called for Gao to go) is shouting for SR to go, for obvious reasons, but I think that the best we can hope for is that DS has has enough, and that the changes to the management structure and additions to staff are going to have the desired effect.......moreso than continually chanting "Sports Republic Out!!
-
How many "Fraudsters" spend the amount of money on Saints that SR have? What is the expected "outcome" of this fraud?
-
Of course not.......employing the right people in the first place is the right way. Getting rid of people when it is obvious that they can't do the job and not let them carry on not doing the job is the right way.

Don't disagree. At any other club, Juric would have been sacked before now.....mind you, at any other club, RM would have been gone long before he was....but we aren't any club, obviously......
-
Whilst I am not even remotely saying that Rusk is the answer to our issues, we did at least look more organised when he was in charge for a couple of games. I also accept that this was immediately after RM left. Since then things have worsened 100 fold. team morale must be below ground level, and his job would be that much harder.

Now??

Getting immune to it now, Christophe. Trying to blank it out and build up some excitement for next season.....
-
If we sack Juric now, I assume we would have to pay him off. What's the point? I believe that it is in his contract that his job can be reviewed at the end of the season. Presumably we can part ways without paying him off?

More like Fluffy Slippers.....
-
I suspect that DS has learnt. Not much that he can actually do about it at the moment.......
-
Do we actually have one?
-
It was obvious that we would struggle. but I thought/hoped that we would just have enough to stay up. Not in my wildest nightmares did I think it would be as bad as it is.....

Penalties??🤔 No.......you'll have to remind me.......

TBH, I would love it! He was a great manager for us.....a really good fit. I felt "dirty" when we sacked him. He, sadly, had to go in the end. He looked a beaten man, but this was due to the lack of support that he had. With the right squad addiitions at that time, I genuinely believe that the last two/three years would have been a completely different story. A refreshed, successful Ralph alongside Spors would be a good prospect in my opinion.

Get Ralph back!!

Best hard-working but technically poor forward?

Bobby Stokes? Loved him (not just for the 76 Cup Final) but I wouldn't say that he was blessed with silky skills. -
Supposedly a reference to the trident on their badge........

I didn't dislike RM as a person....in fact i quite liked him. Last season I backed him although his style of football was an issue. When it worked it was brilliant to watch. Seeing teams get frustrated because we wouldn't let them have the ball was brilliant, but when it didn't work it was diabolically frustrating. It was painfully obvious that he didn't, even remotely, have the squad to take his style successfully into the EPL and that he wouldn't change his style whatever happened. His quotes on Monday compound this even more. He HAD to go and should have gone before when there was still an oportunity to get somebody in to give us at least a fighting chance of staying up.
-
I agree. The current squad is one of the worst in living memory, but I have seen some on here and Social Media outlets say that we should have stuck with RM.
-
Yes....that's why I said it was strange.......disinterest in someone who had been pretty successful.
-
I don't get the "re-writing" of history that some are carrying out, saying that we should have stayed with him. P16 W1 D2 L13 GF11 GA36 GD -25 P6 is the reason that he should have gone earlier. Keeping him for so long was a major mistake......especially after his utterings last night. Should have been 10 games max. Getting Juric (or anyone else who would take the job) in, is like giving somebody a plastic bucket to bail out Titanic.
