I am not sure that any fans expected miracles from him. We were basically relegated before he came in. I was just hoping that he would steady the ship and get the team to perform to a more acceptable level. That didn't happen.....

I don't think that they will be going away anytime soon. We have to hope that they will turn thing around....

i am, as my user name suggests, an old git. I voted Labour through the Wilson/Callaghan years, through to, and including, the Blair years. Sadly this current bunch of Muppets are as far removed from a Labour government as it is possible to be. They are a just a bunch of wannabee "politicians" high on the kudos of being in power. They lie and expect us to believe their lies. The continual references to a "£22BN Black Hole" and blaming the previous government for everything are becoming laughable.

Yes....I don't get it either. People will be screaming for a prolific goal scorer next season.....and we already have one...or we could get rid of him and take a chance by spending money on someone else.

It is very difficult and strange for me. I am Southampton through and through.......born and bred here. I used to regularly go into town most weeks, but I haven't been into the town centre for around 15 months. Nothing to draw me in anymore. The "regeneration" is going on and on......there is virtually nothing to attract me. Seems to have lost it's identity....

Indeed. I thought intially that he was really going to explode on the scene this season.....but.....when you look at the lack of effort and commitment in most of the squad this year, it must be very difficult for a young lad like TD to develop smoothly.

I think that the problems with TD are many. Firstly, he is still a young lad. with all that this brings. I was told by somebody (I have no idea if it is actually true) that he suffers with a degree of Autism, which is why he didn't stay long at Chelsea. Add to this that the whole club/team has been a monumental sh1t-show of the highest order this season, it is perhaps understandable that his developement hasn't been as smooth as it might have been.

Very much so........I didn't recognise it, but it obviously exsists.....

I have to be honest........watching you lot bitching at each other on here, is far more entertaining that anything seen, or likely to be seen, at SMS this season....

The Dibling price tag is just a line in the sand. Saying "We will not be selling cheap" I guess....

Probably down to listening too much to the glib-tongued, self-important charlatans that he surrounded himself with.

Isn't that the truth!! We actually felt like a real Prem club when they were here.

Let's not also forget that whilst last season was a success, two out of three seasons have been disasters.....not just this season.
