They had some ‘expert’ on the radio about this last week, reckoned there is measures the water companies can easily take to reduce it but as the fines are so low it is more cost-effective to just pump the shit into the rivers/sea untreated and pay the fine.

Not a bad line-up for a second string, probably still get stuffed tho. -
Chelsea 1-1 (p.4-3) Saints - Match Thread

I would usually want him to name a strong line-up but the league looks like it’s going to be a right struggle this year so I would rest all the first XI and just take the stuffing. -
I don’t think it should be mandatory, I guess given South Africa’s history you can see why their governing body would want to show a united front though. Maybe they know more about Kock’s reasons for opposing it, or maybe they are part of the Marxist takeover who knows?

I thought you would have taken the hint when I didn't answer your dumb question first time. I made a valid point about trans people and suicide and you replied twice asking me if men had a cervix - I would class that as banging on, or you just have some weird obsession with the body part.
-
Surely if it is a mainly a mental health issue that is even more reason not to bully or take the piss banging on about cervixes etc?
-
Some trans men do, why are you bothered by it?
-
Exactly my point, bullying and piss-taking about cervixes or whatever doesn’t help anyone.
-
What, one game against Wolves?

Ralph has his faults but if we sacked him I would put money on the team getting worse under whoever the cub manage to bring in. I’m a big fan of Howe but I think even he would struggle to get that bunch any higher. We’ve had a tough start and are not in the relegation zone, I don’t think we are under-performing at all, we just don’t have many good players.
-
Except it is an actual issue. From the centre of suicide prevention: Why are trans people at risk? There are a few factors that put transgender people at risk of suicide, factors that can put strain on one’s mental health and potentially lead to thoughts of suicide: Institutional prejudice manifesting as laws and policies which create inequalities and/or fail to provide protection from discrimination Experience of discrimination (transphobia) in the form of physical or verbal harassment, physical or sexual assault Lack of support from parents and other family members Stress related to fear of transitioning, including the potential backlash and life disruption, as well as considering the risks and sometimes lengthy time period involved Gender dysphoria, or distress related to a conflict between one’s physical or assigned gender and the gender with which they identify That’s why piss-taking about cervixes by dick heads intent on some tragic culture war is not really doing any good to anyone.

Spot on. I think most people generally understand nowadays which is a good thing.

That's a good point. My nan lived a super-healthy lifestyle and survived until she was 96 but for the last 5 or 6 she was in a home and receiving palliative care for god knows how long which was very expensive.

I’m just trying to work out how shit my holiday would have to be before I felt the need to log onto a football forum and post about Kier Starmer’s opinion on cervixes.

The people in the shops won't spread the disease as much?

If they are aiming to become a European superpower then Eddie Howe would be an odd appointment, that’s putting it mildly. To start that sort of project you want a big name to attract the top players because even with shit loads of cash certain players won’t want to give up CL footie and move to some northern shithole.
-
Think it was the other way round.

His record of signings is mixed like every other club, some flops but he also signed players in League one that went on to do a job in the Prem, plus the likes of Ake, Wilson, Mings, Fraser who were a success. Even with money there is only a certain type of player who Bournemouth can attract so anyone managing them would have a mixed record. We would be nuts to sack Ralph at the moment anyway, when you look at the fixtures we’ve had we’re not underperforming at all.
-
To be fair he took Bournemouth from -10 at the bottom of League 2 to the Prem in six seasons. I don’t think we should sack Ralph but if it happens Howe should definitely be considered. Bournemouth were always going to go down at some point regardless of who their manager was.

But a few idiots booing because of concerns about a some Marxist takeover is not ‘racial tensions’. It’s people on no particular race booing people of many different races over something political - it’s not setting one particular race against another. The fact that players and fans who obvious are not Marxists get behind the message just makes it stronger IMO. It shows that despite the possible negative connotations and booing they are still determined to get the anti-racism message across. They are not just hiding away with some pathetic once a season logo on a T-Shirt.
-
The majority of fans have applauded it, as I said before, previous campaigns have been pretty much invisible so barely get noticed. You are bound to get some idiot who boo.
-
No, because all the 'Kick it out" stuff went largely unnoticed making it irrelevant - which is one of the reasons for the taking of the knee. A few people booing at football is nothing to do with racial tensions, it's just a bunch of Gammons getting all upset over 'wokeness'. No one is going to turn into a racist just because a few footballers make a harmless gesture. Anyone even slightly bothered by it must already have issues.
