  1. You will never stop it but a realistic chance of safe passage would probably appeal to those genuine refugees not keen on the risk of drowning. Plus if we actually work with France and take an agreed amount they would probably be more inclined to police the shores better to stop the illegals.
  2. Che as a number ten is a shit idea IMO.
  3. It’s a difficult problem but from what I can see the only solution would be to actually work with the French, come to an agreement about how many we take and how many stay in France, process them in Calais and provide safe passage for those we take.
  4. Playing three strikers away at Anfield is just mental, this could be another 9-0.
  5. You don’t believe viruses mutate. Brilliant! Where did you read that - Facebook?
  6. Exactly.
  7. I don't disagree with any of that. I doubt the jury could have delivered any other verdict as it's impossible to know what was going on inside the killer's head let alone prove it. I stand by my opinion that he was probably looking for some action though.
  8. I watched part of the trial (I didn't have 4 days spare to waste like you) and from what I saw the prosecution were constantly trying to establish his reasoning for carrying the weapon. That is key IMO. Take an assault rifle to a protest, or anywhere where they is likely conflict, anywhere else in the world and it would be considered an aggressive act - the laws in the US are different but the act is the same. He could have put fires out without carrying a weapon, or carried a concealed weapon that wouldn't make others feel threatened. To me (and I watched a lot of the footage) it looked like he was trying to get involved in what was going on more than help.
  9. You don’t need an assault rifle to put out fires and do first aid, that was the guise he knew he had to use to travel there carrying the firearm IMO, and it worked. He knew the laws and he knew what would probably happen.
  10. He obviously went there looking for action, it’s a sad reflection of the gun laws in the US that they allow this sort of thing to happen without punishment. The situation he ended up in meant what he did was probably technically self defence but we all know he went there to seek out the situation, that’s the fucked up thing. As I said before, it’s like me taking a gun to a Saints v Pompey match, seeking out a confrontation with some Skates then shooting them in self defence because they started something.
  11. At any sort of protest you often get idiots causing violence or breaking the law - poll tax, student fees, anti capitalist, extinction rebellion - what a few idiots do on a protest is completely separate from the cause. I don’t agree with people glueing themselves to motorways but I am 100% behind what Insulate Britain stand for. Some people just take it too far.
  12. You get the feeling we’re going to regret not sending more vaccines out to poorer countries. Just have to hope it doesn’t mutate enough to render the vaccines ineffective.
  13. I’ve no idea, that’s the first time I’ve heard of it.
  14. You’ve misunderstood as usual. The fragiles didn’t think the killing was right, they just had a different response to the BLM shit that followed. No right minded person supports violence against the police, but most understood why emotions were high and why many felt the BLM message was important.
  15. Think it’s referring to the more fragile among us who get all defensive when confronted with issues of racial inequality. For example, when the BLM stuff was going on most normal people’s first thought was probably; fair enough, the cop shouldn’t have murdered the guy so you can understand people getting angry and wanting to promote the idea that black lives matter. The more fragile’s first thought was to get all defensive “what about white lives.” That sort of stuff.
  16. Think you probably spend a bit too much time on these mate.
  17. Should have introduced vaccine passports earlier on. Some friends of my in-laws were these thick anti-vaccine types but as soon as they realised they would need a jab to go on holiday they couldn't get it done quick enough. These selfish cunts will soon get it done if it effects their way of life.
  18. I would probably give Fraser a go but I think it’s a classic case of a player seeming better the more they don’t play. I still have vivid memories of him standing rooted on the line whilst someone heads it in from 6 yards, or going down like a falling Redwood as a shot goes underneath him.
  19. Need to get shot of both of them.
  20. He’s always just been a back up keeper, problem is some maniac gave Forster a massive contract so we’re stuck until he sees it out.
  21. Mental that Ole still has a job.
  22. Ralph has really fucked this up
  23. Weird subs from Ralph
  24. Agree, it’s mental. Any country that allows people to take an assault rifle to a protest is fucked up. What this kid did would be akin to me taking a gun to a Saints V Pompey match, seek out a confrontation, then shoot a couple of Skates who started in self defence.
