And China just watch on and all they can say is that sanctions are outrageous. You can’t help think that WW3 is inevitable.

Gave it a good go but just not good enough, nothing to complain about. One of City, Liverpool or Chelsea will win the cup, how interesting.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Putin was very much pro-Brexit, that is just a fact. As for the comparison, it is just nonsense trying to appeal to the swivel-eyed fuck-wits in the Tory party. -
They haven’t though have they, they’ve flattened some cities in the East which was supposed to be the Russian friendly parts. Kiev is still getting visits from foreign heads of state. It’s not exactly a great military achievement to blow up some high-raised flats, looks like a bit of a shambles to me. NATO would make mincemeat of the Russian conventional forces from this showing.

That's just sort term, which makes sense. In the long-term investing in renewables is obviously the way forward for a country like ours. That along with insulation.
-
That’s just bollocks, Ukraine has some Nazis as does Germany or Russia, but they are not in power. Their parliament has only 1% from the far right and Volodymyr Zelenskiy is a Russian-speaking centrist of Jewish origin.
-
The Greens have been bleating on about dependency on fossil fuels for years, at least one good thing to come out of this war should be more investment in renewables. Trump was right in what he said but I'm pretty sure he was just trying to flog more oil and arms to Europe. I doubt he knew what his pal Putin was about to do or has any concerns over the energy security of Europe. I think we can all understand why the Germans have not spent much on the their military given their history.
-
The Green Party have been saying we rely too much on foreign oil and gas for decades, I don't see why the orange bell-end should get any credit for stating the obvious.
-
I agree but MIGs have the capability of actually attacking Russia itself not just the invading forces in Ukraine so are considered offensive. I don’t think NATO want to be in a position where Russia can bomb Polish airfields claiming self defence because then we are in WW3.
-
I think the difference is NATO is a defensive organisation so supplying ‘defensive’ weapons is OK, it might be semantics but it’s probably a line that is not worth crossing given what is at stake.
-
Newcastle had a game plan that worked but it’s bollocks to say they ‘wanted it more’. We had them on the rack for much of the first half then just ran out of steam and ideas, and still created more chances. We had twice their possession, more shots, more on target and twice their corners.

I guess this might make Broja more likely to go back to Chelsea, he's probably the sort of player they will need when they are back to being a mid-table side.
-
That’s the better gauge of wealth though isn’t it?
-
NATO won’t be caught with its pants down again, they could easily arm Ukraine enough to deter a similar thing happening in the future. The Russians appear to be making hard work of this war as it is.
-
Ukraine just need to drop the NATO thing and just change their mind a few years later after the country has been rebuilt and flooded with arms from the West.
-
It won’t feel like a win but it’s got to be better than the alternative which is probably the destruction of the whole country. The Ukrainians are putting up a good fight but the sheer size of the Russian army will surely tell in the end. If they announced an end to the fighting with the Russians retreating to the Donbas tonight I’m pretty sure those sheltering in the bunkers in Kiev will see it as a victory.
-
Or before Russia turn off the gas?
-
Fat Frank doing as well as expected.
-
That would obviously change things but I doubt they have the forces to hold Ukraine let alone go further. As long as the west are giving the Ukrainians all the weapons they want I think we are playing it about right at the moment. Putin can't keep the lie going forever.
-
Big difference to be fair. It's tough on the Ukrainians but I think NATO is doing the right thing. As well as starting WW3, if we start killing Russians Putin will just claim he has been right all along and be the big hero in Russia which is probably what he wants.

Shit draw

Also, conquering the country is one thing but holding it is a completely different matter. We all saw the problems the US had in Iraq and Afghanistan, the issues they faced will be minuscule compared to trying to hold a hostile Ukraine supported by the whole of Europe and NATO. I’m struggling to see what sort of ‘victory’ is even achievable for Russia.

Had a lot more energy than West Ham, squad looks decent this year.

I thought we would get stuffed but fair play to Ralph, spectacularly wrong.

Not looking forward to seeing Valery up against Antonio. 😳
