Agree, it might turn out to be very good business. It's a gamble but I guess if we are trying to make the most of a limited transfer budget then this sort of signing makes sense if they think McCarthy can still do a job.
-
Might turn out to be a great signing but is one hell of a gamble if he’s supposed to be our new no1.
-
Was bound to happen, as soon as those guys were caught they were dead men walking. Not sure executing POWs is going to help Russia in any way though, just going to make the enemy less likely to surrender.
-
McCarthy would probably look the real deal in their tin pot league.
-
Not really, there have been many cases where people have been drugged and raped without having any recollection of what happened. They simply knew someone had had sex with them after they have come round. She may well have lied in this case, I wasn’t at the trial so don’t know, but the fact that someone has not been convicted, doesn’t in itself mean that the alleged victim was lying - these sort of cases are very hard to prove.
-
To be fair, just because he was found not guilty doesn’t necessarily mean she lied, just means it cannot be proven.

That figures. I vote for who I think would benefit the country most. -
It’s not typical at all, the typical thing to do is sack the manager to appease a bunch of fans who know fuck all about the workings of a professional football club.
-
Obviously it's not all down to Broja, more the lack of quality going forward. If we still had Ings up front we would probably have finished top half this season IMO.
-
I think with a bit of investment we could have a decent season next year under Ralph. In my opinion the main reason this season went to shit was because Broja clearly stopped giving a toss once he had made his name and that left us pretty much toothless. Replace Broja, Long, Walcott and Redmon/Djenepo with some quality and Ralph will have something to work with. Bunch of bed-wetting tarts on here.
-
Yeah, but you can be woke and not elect yourself for anything, that's my point.
-
If they are then next season is going to be a struggle regardless of who is manager.
-
I don't trust them at all. Whatever help they provide will be based around which voters they want to win over not who genuinely needs help.
-
Some people are going to need help this winter and that has to be paid for so a windfall tax makes sense.
-
That's just bollocks. Woke means to be alert to racial and social discrimination or injustice, you can be woke and not be on social media or say a word to anyone. There are a lot of woke arseholes around, especially online, but they are just arseholes. You get plenty of arseholes who are not woke.

Dunno, I wasn’t there when they spoke. Macon can’t decide anything, he can just suggest a possible solution. If he can find a middle ground that can be agreed upon then great.
-
Plenty of other countries have been talking to Putin, the US were talking to Russia in the last couple of days.
-
No, the more talking the better. Only Ukraine can decide what’s best for them, if a leader from another country can help find a solution they agree with then great.
-
I don’t disagree, wether they settle for anything obviously depends on the situation on the ground and how costly re-taking the whole country will be, if it is achievable at all. Taking territory is a lot harder than defending.
-
Except for potentially thousand less dead people and blown up buildings. Obviously if they are kicking Russia’s ass and think taking back the whole lot is achievable they won’t want to settle for anything less, it’s call only they can make.
-
True, but that is also true regardless of where the border between the two countries ends up after this conflict.

I don't get this weird obsession with people working from home, I was probably more productive when I worked from home. According to my IT support guy, who services a load of companies in London, hybrid working is just normal now for much of the private sector. Makes sense to me, commuting is just a miserable, soul-destroying waste of time, money and energy. -
True, but Putin values the lives of his troops so little I can't see that happening for a long, long while. If Ukraine want to send their young men and women into the meat grinder for years to come that is up to them but I can see there being some sort of agreement reached.
