To be fair, if the stats are to be believed we were not too bad at creating big chances 44 (11th) and we missed more than most 42 (7th), number of shots and shots on target not any worse than average. According to one site JWP created 71 chances and got 5 assists. Maybe if Broja wasn’t strolling about with a face like a smacked arse for the last half of the season our goal stats might have been better as well?

If the squad stays as it is I expect us to struggle to score enough and we will probably flirt with a relegation battle if not worse. Our signings seem decent but long-term so it’s a bit of gamble as to wether our first XI will be any better this year compared to last. Bring in a good centre forward I can see us finishing comfortably mid-table, probably 12th. If I had to put money on it I would go for Bournemouth, Brentford and Leeds for the drop.
