  1. This is all so depressingly predictable. Surprise surprise - foreign lower league head coach total football experiment doesn't work.
  2. Don't want admin it but it's inevitable.
  3. Total football - what a ****
  4. Dyer foul throw
  5. more comedy defending
  6. Well that's just wasted 45mins of my life.
  7. Makes you wonder why they spent 1.5mill Euros on an untried french kid in the summer and brought in 6 other players?
  8. Hopefully Setanta will go bust, not being allowed to watch even the highlights of your national team of terrestrial TV is just out of order. Apparantly the England fans were siging "we hate Setanta" at one of the games - there is only so much you can hold people to ransom.
  9. Bad management by everyone involved, from the losers brought in by Burley to the money spunked on Woodward, Clifford, Dome, eye gyms etc.
  10. True, Mandric also had to find the right manager. Their case was different to us though, ITV digital's collapse screwed everyone else over.
  11. I have nothing against foreign managers, but having little or no knowledge of the league is not an advantage. In Poortvleit's case he is switching countries and making a big step up as well as working with inexperienced players in an experimental system where the chairman appears to be DOF.
  12. By your rationalle we could just go into admin, give them 5p in the pound like all the other creditors, and start up again under new ownership debt free and owning the stadium outright? I don't think so somehow.
  13. Noone wants to be a Leicester fan, it's a hypothetical question. You are right about the ITV thing, but if pompey had Lowe as their chairman that season they wouldn't have spent any money and would have just cut their cloth to fit, probably would be in League 1 right now.
  14. Regardless of wether it is technically an asset, if we can't afford the repayments the bank will have it back.
  15. We'll be route one by Xmas.
  16. If we go into admin and Crouch/Fulphorpe/whoever offer a rescue package that is better than Lowe's could we see SFC rid of Lowe and the PLC? And could this happen without losing the stadium etc?
  17. I've heard that Lowe draws a pretty hefty salary - it was from one of the old directors though.
  18. I'm sorry but Leicester have a much more promising future than us, Mandric is a mad as a box of frogs when it comes to managers but Lowe is not far behind, one has **** loads of money and puts it into his club, the other has none, puts nowt in and costs the club a salary. It's a no brainer for me, look where pompey were when Mandrick took over and where they are now, compare that to Saints - it's a complete reversal, Mandrick turned a pennyless championship club to an established prem club - Lowe did the opposite.
  19. Can you cash in ST's then?
  20. Could SLH sell off SFC as an asset before it goes into admin to avoid getting a 10 point penalty?
  21. I agree that Lowe is not the main reason for the stay-away but he is A reason. When the football is rubbish the club relies on the loyalty factor of fans, why should any Saints fan feel this loyalty when the person in charge calls them "lunatic fringe" or "the lager brigade". If the club calls the fans "customers" they must expect them to behave like customers and choose to spend their money how they wish, they can't have it both ways. Personally I think sacking Pearson was a slap in the face to the fans, it certainly made me think twice about stumping up my cash.
  22. Good post Phil, the people in charge have to do something even if they are just token gestures.
  23. For the good of the club - as per other CCC clubs.

I think people would be more inclined to give him time if he wasn't part of Lowe's crazy experiment. We are basically managerless, where most teams have a Chairman, manager and coach, we have a coach and Rupes as Chairman/DOF. We have a DOF who knows nothing about football, working with a coach who knows nothing about the Championship, using players who in the main know little about being a proffesional footballer. The question is how long can we afford to continue experimenting?
  25. Have you spoke to him?
