  1. That is not necesarily the case, if Crouch could come up with something decent then Wilde or even some of Lowe's butt boys might turn. For example if Crouch lined up David Dein and offered to pay his wages out of his own pocket if Lowe and Wilde fecked off. If something half decent is on the table it would give the fans something to boycott about - a few games of -10K attendances and Lowe would soon see the folly of hanging on. Lowe only holds a few shares, if you split him from his other backers he is pretty insignificant.
  2. There is nothing the fans can do to effect who owns/runs the club unless someone with some clout come up with a plan. If Crouch comes up with a better alternative then maybe boycotts/protests could help force Lowe and Wilde out.
  3. I think a decent manager could have this side comfortably mid-table, we have some good players, many of whom could walk into some other Championship sides. Poortvliet looks like he's going to get us relegated IMO.
  4. I think we all agree that there is no real alternative to Lowe at the moment, that doesn't mean we have to agree with his crazy Dutch total football experiments.
  5. IMO the wider fanbase is less optimistic and way more anti Lowe than this forum.
  6. Wilde is just one of many who got lucky with the property boom, he is walking proof that being rich doesn't mean you have brains.
  7. Selling our best players in January would not make footballing or financial sense, it would just be commiting suicide. The whle future of the club depends on staying in this division, if we need to sell players do it in the summer, not halfway through a season where you are staring relegation in the face. Surman and Lallana are not at their peak, their value will only go up, floging them for a couple of million and condeming your club to admin makes no sense at all.
  8. This realy is a very sad state of affairs. IMO it is pointless calling for the manager to be sacked because I really can't see any decent alternative who would want to work with Lowe. If there was one I think we have probably blown what resources we have so it would probably be an impossible task to turn things around anyway. Lowe had one chance this summer to get it right, there was no margin for error and he has ****ed it good and proper. It is also pointless calling for Lowe to go as there is obviously not even a hint of a take over. Wilde has proved himself completely incapable of running the club on his own, Crouch only has 10% and whilst I think he would be better than Lowe he wont get the chance because of the politics. All we can do is sit and watch while we slide into league 1 and go bust. Our only hope is that someone turns up after admin buys the club outright and gives us some sort of future. In many ways if we were on -10 in League 1, but with a new owner who actually has a bit of cash and a plan, the future would actually be more rosy than it is now with the current lot.
  9. What did they sing that was so bad?
  10. Surman wouldn't have a problem making the step up at all IMO, there are plenty of worse players in the Prem at the moment. Rory Delap for one.
  11. If you think Rudi has been playing worse than Mill's you need your head looking at. And the fact that he is being played out of position is totally the managers fault. Poortvleit decided to bring in numerous attacking players who have made next to no contribution (Smith/Gasmi/Peckhart) plus waste money on wages for a 3rd goal keeper when bringing in a decent left back could sure up the defence and allow our Chek Republic international midfielder play in midfield.
  12. The idea that we are not getting the results we deserve is complete nonsense IMO. For every game where we probably "should" have won (Sheff Weds H) there is at least another where we "should" have got stuffed (Charlton A). We are where we deserve to be and at the moment I would say we are 50/50 for relegation. From what I have seen I would say there is enough talent in that squad to keep us up, a good manager would not get relegated with those players.
  13. We are doing slightly better than I expected, I thought we wouldn't have a chance of staying up but our youngsters have proved we do. However we are still in it up to our necks, if we keep playing in the same open style we will not have a chance when the real relegation scrap begins. At the moment it is relatively pressure free football. If we try to ping it about like Arsenal in a relegation 6 pointer it will be disasterous IMO.
  14. "I would give away all my shares to the right person. I don’t care about the money, all I care about is the future of this great club." We just need Lowe, Wilde and co to say the same thing and we might have a chance. Good on you Leon.
  15. Why, I think the fairest way to price it would be to make tickets half price for Season ticket holders and members who have gone to at least 1 Championship game. Make the Manc's/plastics/glory supporters pay double. Why should real fans have to pay the same as some numpty who just wants to watch Rooney and Ronaldo? Rip em off I say, the mugs will pay it.
  16. On the face of it it's not at all important, how the directors choose to decorate their room is totally up to them and it doesn't effect anyone else. However when you think about who's involved and the reasons behind it it pretty much sums up what a joke of a club we are. Choosing to replace a picture of our greatest manager ever holding the only thing we have ever won with a picture of a ****ing train from one of our relegation rivals is a **** take.
  17. I think the club should charge £40 a ticket to anyone who's not on the database. All the plastic tossers and glory supporting ****s should have to pay through the nose.
  18. Fowards yes, as in head first into league 1.
  19. The problem is I expect Rupes would try to get 50p a share as we are now. A few leaks to the press about takeovers and the price soon shoots up. So its a case of: a) Spend £1 on a club and inherit lots of debt that you have to finance after admin a) spend £20mill on a club and inherit lots of debt that you have to finance
  20. I think the rationalle is that if enough people boycott then Lowe n co will have to sell up because the club will have no future without fans through the turnstiles. Even if Lowe does somehow turn us into a successful Championship club making a profit then he would demand such a high price for the shares that we probably wouldn't be a decent investment anyway. Loads of clubs in a ****ty state financially have been bought, pompey were bought for a quid, QPR were up to their necks, Coventry & Leicester were debt ridden. I think Admin, or a Coventry situation where we are minutes away, is inevitable. It's the only way for Lowe, Wilde n co to realise that their shares are not worth a penny. And I think that though admin would be bad, the one good thing that COULD come from it is the removal of the PLC and Lowe.
  21. Facts are some supporters think that the best thing for SFC is for Lowe and co to leave and by boycotting they are making that more likley. It is pointless saying they are not supporters just because you disagree with them, everyone has their own opinions on what's best for the club.
  22. What a load of rubbish. the lions never normally play together, why was Woody's Lions tour any different to any previous Lions tour? If Woody's approach was not suited to the Lions then surely he should have known that from the start? If his approach is not transferable to a different type of Rugby situation then why do all you monkeys assume it will work in a completely different sport? Woodward was at Saints - we were ****. We are currently using Woodward's expensive facilities - we are still ****. There still is not a scrap of evidence that Woodward would be any use to a football club.
  23. Wrong, though not on a salary he was involved in our relegation season. His main influence was during our first shambles of a season in this league.
  24. I think you will find by far the most spending was done when Wilde and later his execs were in charge. Crouch was only in charge from around last January to the end of the season, during this time he made cutting measures like loaning out Rasiak and Skacel, his only spending was hiring Pearson and bringing in loans like Perry and Wright - which as they probably saved us from relegation was a pretty prudent move. It's a good question though, what exactly did Lowe do to change/influence what was going on when the club were clearly overspending? From the outside it appears he did nothing.
  25. The lack of any Lowe out movement is purely down to there not being an alternative, should one raise his head then the "anyone but Lowe" opinion will surely be the most popular again. Of course "anyone but Lowe" could mean out of the frying pan into the fire but when your ass is being fried like a piece of bacon you might as well jump and try to miss the fire. It's just one sad sad state of affairs, IMO admin is inevitable. There is not even a hint of a take over and our only hope is for Jan and co to do the business. A change of manager now could work but would be very risky. We had one chance, and that was to get a good manager in during the summer and build a team who could punch above their weight and grind out enough points to stay in this league. We chose a crazy dutch total football experiment and just have to hope it works.
