  1. Curbishly & Pardew are on the dole.
  2. He added: "I think we have to work even harder, because I think it's a fight." He "thinks" it's a fight, I dispair I really do. This guy really is clueless.
  3. I agree they are pathetic, but not as pathetic as the gimps on here who thought they were rejecting the SISU deal for the good of the club. "it's right for Coventry but not for us" was a ****** many came out with, now a few months later we probably face being in a worse position than Coventry ever were.
  4. If that was the case then we would sell/loan out, then use whatever money we get to bring in the new players. If the bank were making the decisions I doubt they would spend money we didn't have in the hope that someone wants to buy one of our players.
  5. Surely if money was that tight we wouldn't have been able to bring in two new players and sign Smith perminantly. Or maybe the bank manager didn't rate Skacel at left back and thought Smith was a cracking player so what the hell?...
  6. Wouldn't surprise me if Boothroyd is lined up - Woodward connection and all.

  8. Lowe could salvage the situation, he just has to admit he was wrong, sack Poortvleit, apologise to the fans and appoint a decent manager. If the team look like they are turning it around the Lowe out aggro will stop.

  10. And he boasted that we had a comparible turnover to Aston Villa and Celtic, a top 10 club in the richest league in the World - and he gambled the whole lot on Sturrock ... then Wigley!
  11. Still a pointless risk IMO. How many other Prem clubs get their managers from League 1? Ince is the only other one I can think of.
  12. Wrong, Stockport were in the Championship.
  13. He was still poached from 2 leagues down, and he wasn't even the best manager in League 1 that season because Plymouth were 2nd (behind Luton I think). If we were gonna grab a manager from the lower leagues surely we should have flexed our Premiership muscle and nicked the best one from the Championship? Sturrock was a massive gamble, even Ince could be seen as less a gamble because he actually played in the Prem.
  14. The problem with the Trust is that they have these meetings with board members, they are scared to annoy anyone at the club in case they lose these meetings.
  15. We have brought in 14 PLAYERS now since the end of last season, including spending a million odd on Scheiderlin - you are clearly wrong on both counts, there was scope to do things differently and to keep Pearson.
  16. 1 I think most fans do, they just dont accept the experiments 2 Sacked/mutual consented/gardening leave/contract not renewed = He was kicked out by Lowe.
  17. My problem with what Illingsworth said is that he has totally avoided the issue. Most Saints fans accept that we are skint, the reason for the level of hatred is the fact that Lowe sacked Pearson and bulldozed through his own experimental ideas in his usual arrogant style. On Saturday it became obvious that his experiment will probably get us relegated. Illingsworth totally avoids the issue - WHY?
  18. Totally agree, some fans are ass holes. It's near impossible to get a Steward charged with anything tho, they will always have the authorities on their side, like heavy handed coppers, bouncers or Israeli snipers.
  19. Some stewards do a good job but some deserve a kicking. The problem is you have people with the mental ability of the average Tesco trolly collector given a job where they can actually boss people around.
  20. I don't disagree with most of what he says, my problem is he just skirts around the issue - he doesn't even mention Pearson or the Dutch disaster - that is ALL Lowe's fault and why most Saints fans want him strung up - surely as a representative of the fans he should have given it a little mention?
  21. But we all accept we are skint. The main gripe is the way Pearson was sacked and this useless dutch gamble implemented - that is just Lowe's fault. Illingsworth is up Lowe's ass - we all know that. As head of an organisation he should try and get across the fans views not his own distorted agenda. He is abusing his platform IMO.
  22. The Saints Trust is pointless, the fact that the situation has arrived at how it is without them uttering a word proves this. They do not represent the fans in any shape or form IMO, in fact, they are actively making it harder for change and for the fans as a whole to get their opinion across.
  23. Doesn't make any sense, it will just mean the same fans sat somewhere else. It is just as easy to fight in other stands, it is probably wise to keep the hardcore concentrated in one place. I'm sure Rupes would prefer them there than a few seats away from him in the Itchen Stand.
  24. At the very least it is a complete waste of wages. Gasmi, Forecast, Pulis, Robertson, Peckhart, Wotton - ****ing money all over the place. Not to mention paying the wages of players like Skacel and Euell then freezing them out - more wasted money.
  25. The way the shares are devided up means that the only way out is admin IMO. There is no way Lowe/Wilde will hand over their shares to Crouch for a nominal sum (which is all they are worth), and there is no way Crouch will pay Lowe/Wilde any more than a nominal sum (if he wanted to own the club outright). I expect if Crouch owned it outright then he would probably put some of his own cash in but that aint gonna happen unless he picks it up for a quid post admin. If an outside interest wanted to buy the club they would wait til admin, we all saw how the share price rockets as soon as interest is reported. No one is going to pay that amount for SFC. We just have to sit back, wait for admin, and hope somone turns up who wants it.
