  1. If Wotte proves to be a good manager I expect Crouch would see the sense of keeping him on. Unlike Lowe who just sacks good managers out of spite.
  2. Wotte wont chuck in the best job he's ever likley to get out of some misplaced loyalty to Lowe. You do talk some rubbish.
  3. I see the Saints Trust have already rejected the idea: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/7926406.stm Has anyone actually been asked by the Trust for their opinion?
  4. There's no reason why Wotte can't be kept on and Lowe booted out.
  5. It's nothing to do with being fickle, it's just that protests only made sense when it appeared we were dead certs for going down. I still think Lowe's no good for the club but there's no point in upsetting the cart at this moment.
  6. That's complete rubbish, if the club went into admin they would still play football matches just like every other club that has gone into admin. If you've already bought a ticket you can still use it at the same games wether the club is admin or not.
  7. Agree it's a positive move. As it stands I'm not renewing my ST regardless of what league we are in. I don't mind watching crap football as a Saints fan I've watched crap football most of my life. It's the feeling of being taken for a mug I don't like.
  8. I expect it's a bit of a,b and c. Lowe has never given a toss about the roar of the crowd before. I expect they have realised that they are going to sell naff all season tickets at the moment because Lowe and Wilde are about as popular as Bin Laden. The plan will be delay ST sales, hand out a few crowd pleasers and hope Wotte keeps the good form going. If we go down the club is finished regardless so it's probably a good plan to delay STs.
  9. We are nowhere near administration, the delay is just giving time to win over the fans. If it looks like we are staying up they will be able to charge more.
  10. Loaning out Rasiak, John and Saga was always going to lead to relegation. Lowe is just a penny counter, he ony sees a players worth on he balance sheet, never on the pitch. When you consider how much we have blown on the 15 players brought in, including the £1mill odd we wasted on Scheiderlin who cannot even get in the current starting line up, it makes farming out our only proven goalscorers even more rediculous.
  11. Lowe freezing him out for half a season may well have got us relegated. Doing the same to Rudi also made no sense whatsoever.
  12. You missed out the freezing out of Euell and Skacel - something that didn't even save a penny. We were playing our best and highest scoring midfielder (Drew) or a 12 year old Fish Mills at left back while Rudi was sat in the stands still picking up his substantial pay packet for doing naff all.
  13. Not at all. Out of the saints fans I know (and that's quite alot) I was always the one who used to stick up for Lowe. That was until the Steve Wigley episode, the person who made that mistake should never be let near any football club. Even if Wotte does prove to be a good manager it will only be a matter of time before Lowe screws up again IMO.
  14. THe fact that we are still 3 points adrift after back to back wins shows what a complete disaster Lowe's experiment with Pootvleit was. Lowe will have a lot to answer for if we go down, the last two games have proved this squad was easliy good enough to stay up given half a chance.
  15. dunno but "There was us 3 and a family in the pub, and 2 other lads from Southampton , (NOT FOOTBALL FANS )" is pretty clear. Obviously only one persons opinion though.
  16. Hope the guy is OK. Doesn't seem football related though, reading St Marcos post.
  17. Lets hope Wotte does prove to be a good manager and keep us up like Pearson did. It's not worth getting carried away yet, I remember the same Lowe Luvie mongs on here were hailing Poortvleit as a genius after a couple of friendlies.
  18. Yeah, freezing out Skacel and Euell and loaning out Saganowski for half a season was genius. All that the current results are proving is that with a half decent manager this squad is easily good enough to be comfortably mid table. If we go down Lowe is completely to blame, not our financial position.
  19. Pahars up front but Shearer on the bench - how the **** did that happen?
  20. The blue away kit from the 80s with the bits on the shoulders was superb.
  21. I think this Connor guy clearly represents the fans more than the Trust - maybe he should be chosen to run the thing? At the moment it appears Illingsworth is too scared/unwilling to upset Lowe.
  22. Whilst I think protesing while the team is playing well is rediculous and totally counter productive, that doesn't mean I think Wotte will be a good manager, I am happy to be proved wrong though. All managers have a honeymoon period, the one consistant thing about those is that the fans always believe it will last. Wotte has alot to prove - but he should be given a chance based on what we've seen.
