  1. The problem is that Fry has been selling a club that might not start on -10 and so have a decent chance of promotion, now the price has to be reduced in line with the fact that 2 seasons in League 1 minimum is almost certain. the question is, how much does the guaranteed -10 take off the price of the club?
  2. The 10 point thing should not make any difference to a serious bidder, everyone knew from day 1 that the FL were very unlikley to back down. Pinnacle can't use this as an excuse.
  3. I think this bit means there can't be a lengthy appeal going on whilst the season gets underway: "The Football League has the responsibility to ensure all League clubs start the season with certainty as regards the competition they compete in." Doesnt mean we cant appeal before the start of the season tho. ****ing Football League are a bunch of monkeys.
  4. I think the crux of the issue is can the FL, as a national sporting body, act how it pleases of do they have to adhere to certain laws (restraint of trade etc). For example, could the FL say "We don't like the colour of your kit - you're out"?
  5. The extra -15 is for not agreeing a CVA, if the Pinnacle deal goes through I think it means that the creditors are satisfied so the -15 shouldn't effect us. I think.
  6. It is odd that a multi million pound deal is being held up by some poxy right to appeal that will not amount to anything.
  7. I couldn't give a monkeys if every other club hate us, if there is a loophole we can exploit then we should do it. I don't think it's likely we will achieve much but if the legal bods think we have a chance we should appeal. I don't care what any of the happy clappers on here say, -10 pretty much rules out promotion for next season.
  8. SFC should have appealed earlier, there has to be a cut off point so to expect an appeal to achieve anything now is a bit dumb. We are not going to get the 10 points back so it is worrying that this Pinnacle thing is being held up over this, looks to me now like an excuse.
  9. The football League are behaving like a bunch of amateurs, they originally said we had the right of appeal, now they are saying we have to waive that right to join the league - you cannot blame Pinnacle for trying to contest that. It's blatant blackmail and so obviously wrong, whatever anyone's opinion of the -10 point penalty. I would guess that it's important for Pinnacle because if we get the -10 we are pretty much guaranteed two seasons in League 1. You would pay less for a club in that situation than one that stood a realistic chance of going straight back up.
  10. No way, if he had put us in admin a few days earlier the 2 company thing wouldn't have even mattered. Lowe ****ed us up big time, it wouldn't surprise me if he delayed admin out of spite.
  11. Does the fit and proper thing apply to League 1 clubs or it it just the Prem?
  12. I find it mildly worrying that the name hasn't been leaked, you would think that if everything was at such a late stage it would be very hard to keep the identity under wraps. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
  13. I disagree, I think it is impossible to plan for your first season in the Prem until you are actually there, whatever the plan chances are we would be yoyoing anyway. Better to be yoyoing than hanging around in the in the Championship with a cunning plan.
  14. Can a trust still be a trust if it has no shares?
  15. I would be happy with Tisdale but would maybe go for someone with more experience, it all depends on how much cash we have though.
  16. That hooligan feature just sums up how laughable the Hampshire Police are, first we get their Nazi dog routine that does nothing but encourage a pitch invasion now we get rubbish grainy pictures, of people who may have thrown something at someone over a month ago (not exactly crime of the century). The annoying thing is tax payers money was spent on some fat arsed rozzer trawling through hours of CCTV footage and doing screen grabs when he could have been out stopping serious crimes taking place, or maybe actually catching serious criminals. You can guarantee that the cop who did these pics, did so to get out of doing real police work because they are probably scared of breaking up a domestic in Shirley, or dealing with drug dealers in some inner city dump. Whenever you get burgled or car broken into the police are useless, you might as well call Father Christmas for all the good they do. - lack of man power is usually the pathetic excuse they will come out with. Now they appear to have all the resources in the world to catch a few kids who chucked some stuff - tossers.
  17. Yeah because he added real value last season.
  18. LOL - Do you really believe a serious organisation will give itself the initials SCUM? You dumb skate ****.
  19. Good news IMO.
  20. You obviously know nothing about football if you believe that crap, no team finishes 7 points clear at the top with a bad manager. If money guaranteed success then Newcastle wouldn't have been relegated and Saints would have walked the championship under Burley. Pearson did a good job for us, turning that team around was a tough job for a relative rookie.
  21. Pinnacle are obviously going to try and pay as little as possible so there is going to be a certain amount of cat and mouse going on. If there is anything in this it has probably been leaked by Fry to put the ****s up Pinnacle: "Pinnacle are trying to force the price down to less than the club’s break-up value, which the administrator is legally bound not to allow to happen. Fry would also be financially liable himself if this were to occur. Therefore, Pinnacle’s current position is essentially an impossibility."
  22. Paterson has shown nothing to suggest he can even be effective at league 1 level, no pace, no strength, limited skill, no particularly strong in the air. McGoldrick could score shed loads in League 1, for that reason I would not sell for 1mill, would be a daft business decision. To be fair though as staying at Saints would mean at least 2 seasons in League 1, McGoldrick will not want to hang around and we may have to accept a derisory offer.
  23. The whole crazy world of football is held together by Sky TV's millions, take that away and it will all come crashing down. With internet streaming and the effects of recession and lack of interest in the predictable, sterile nature of the modern game it would be foolish to assume that the money will always be there.
  24. Great example of Skate logic - The average house prices are not a good reflection because the huge amount of terraced slums in Portsmouth skew the results in our favour. LOL
  25. I would be well happy with Dowie. People are forgetting we are a 3rd division side now, talk of Strachan or Coppell is pie in the sky. If we have a bit of cash behind us we wont need Jose Moriniho to get us out of League 1, someone with a bit of experience and the ability to organise and motivate is what we are after IMO.
