  1. Bree was jogging back for their second.
  2. That’s what I would have gone with.
  3. The win meant a lot to Ralph because of his history with Klopp, not because of Liverpool’s form. I thought it was great that a Saints win meant so much to him. Weird how some people have problems with men showing emotion.
  4. Bunch of wankers, as if they already didn't already have enough of an advantage with the bone-sawers blood money.
  5. Hats off to those making the journey, it's a long way to go when we all know what the likely outcome will be. It's a long-shot to expect us to get a result up there but there's always a chance. If there is still only a goal in it going into the last ten minutes they will get nervy as fuck in front of all those northern monkeys who have already forked out for the trip to Wembley. I'm not actually bothered being a goal behind, I fancy us more with nothing to lose than having to go up there and try and hold onto a slender lead. There's no pressure on us, it's just a free hit.
  6. Not sure you can compare a January midweek treck to some northern shit hole to a trip to Milan.
  7. We were never seriously threatened by relegation under Ralph, we all said in the summer we needed a goalscorer.
  8. Obviously trying to hold on without conceding another was the right thing to do. Some football fans are bell-ends, we all know that, and it's not going to change. Why any manager would feel the need to point that out is bizarre though, screams of his own insecurities to me. If he's going to pick up on what a few nob heads in the Northam say every week he's going to have a breakdown or something. Just shut the fuck up and win some football games and none of it will matter.
  9. Anti white watch
  10. 0-1 not a disaster, it’s only half time. Alacatraz looked good, looking forward to seeing him and Lavia behind JWP. The Northern cunts think they are already at Wembley, just BUY A FUCKING STRIKER before next Tuesday and we have a slight chance.
  11. I wouldn’t be that bothered with a narrow defeat. Win, lose or draw the tie is going to be decided at St James next week. Part of me thinks we might have a better chance if Newcastle go into next week’s game thinking they just have to turn up and they are through. Obviously it would be great if we smash the cheating northern monkeys tonight but I don’t have much faith in us holding onto a narrow win up there.
  12. Think the formula was 'play a team in a competition that is 4th in their list of priorities'.
  13. Probably the most likely option. There’s going to be a limit to who we can attract in our position and who would want to sell in the January window. I expect we will see a couple of last minute loans from big clubs after they have sorted out their business. Makes more sense than chucking silly money at some chump who has only scored twice this season.
  14. To be fair, you tend to remember the ones that go against you more than when it's in your favour. We have been on the wrong end of some stinkers though. The technology is fine, the only issue is it highlights the incompetence of the people making the decisions. The most glaring thing is it shows up how bad the off-side calling was prior to it.
  15. I would say the current squad is probably quite well suited for relegation. A few will obviously be sold but we have a lot of youngsters who should be on lowish wages who could probably do with a season in the Championship. Our owner obviously has some cash so if managed well we should be well placed to bounce back up.
  16. Close game but we were not great. Neither were Villa though so it’s another winnable game pissed up the wall by Jones. What’s the point in buying these players if we’re not going to start them?
  17. Shame we didn't get Ings, I thought he looked pretty sharp in the few times I had the misfortune to watch Villa.
  18. Does being in the EU stop countries giving aid? According to that site Poland has given more as a percentage of GDP than us, they are in the EU.
  19. According to this the EU have given e30.32 billion in support too Ukraine, the UK e2.55 billion. https://www.ifw-kiel.de/topics/war-against-ukraine/ukraine-support-tracker/
  20. Note he said "political case". That could easily change after the next GE. The important thing for Starmer is to get into power - he will say whatever he needs to win back the red wall. The work starts after that.
  21. Yeah, might as well lock the thread because he’s obviously not going anywhere. Crazy turnaround since the forest performance- I don’t think anyone expected what we’ve seen. Fair play to Jones and the players. Just hope we can keep it up and it’s not just a new manager bounce!
  22. Prowsie has certainly answered his critics today, I always thought he would do well in the no 10 role in a 4-2-3-1. The midfield three of Lavia, Diallo and him looks like the way forward. Fair play to Jones, mental turnaround since the Forest debacle. Hopefully we can keep progressing and it’s not jus5 a new manager bounce thing. Get a striker in this window and we have a decent chance of staying up.
  23. What a bunch of cunts. If anyone deserves to go down it is them lot.

That's not the stat being misleading, it's you not understanding what it is for. It is not supposed to be a measure of who is the best team or who should win, just a gauge of the quality of chances created. A team can be by far the better team, win the game comfortably but still have a low Xg. For example of they go 2-0 up early on with a couple of worldies then sit back and just defend well for 80 minutes they would probably have a very low Xg.
