If we had kept Ralph I reckon we would probably be around where Palace and Bournemouth are now.
-
The squad is a complete mess, we need a strong experienced manager to take charge of the whole shit show. Anyone connected to this season, especially anyone involved in recruitment need to get the bullet, otherwise next season will be more of the same. They have got everything so wrong it is scary.

Desperate last throw of the dice. Let’s hope we get lucky.

Who know what goes on, you certainly don't. If it was deliberately leaked then the lad is probably just an unwitting pawn in a bigger game. It does seem weird that someone so junior had access to this sort of information. It obviously may all be kosher though. If only Batman still posted on here, he would know. He used to cook fry-ups on a RN Submarine so naturally had his finger on the pulse of the latest happenings in international espionage.
-
To be fair, if they were purposely leaked they would be made to look authentic so it's impossible to say.

I didn't think Musk came across too bad, certainly not as bad as I thought he would. All over the place when comes to misinformation and hate speech though, why doesn't he just admit that if you want 'freedom of speech' you have to allow both.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

I said part of the cabinet, you should try reading. She was PM when she announced her furlough-sized energy subsidies for everyone last year though, an estimated £140billion odd in handouts according to what I’ve read. -

Yeah, particularly how she blames the woke left for far our country has fallen behind other nations, despite the fact that her party has been in charge for the last 13 years. Moaning about how much the government spent during the pandemic was a good one - she was in the cabinet that made the decisions. Just a load of nonsense, pandering to right-wing loons, even managed to crowbar transsexuals into it. -
I guess someone might be desperate enough to buy him if he's cheap but is 13 assists in 121 appearances "breathing new life"? In the same time he has managed to rack up 44 'big chances missed'.

Face it, none of us has a clue what Dragon is going to do. He could fuck us over and leave us like Pompey, or he could bank-roll us back to the Prem. We just don’t know.
-
I’m amazed anyone thinks Che Adams is going to be poached by a Prem club after we go down. He’s a proven failure at this level and one of the main reasons we are bottom of the league. He and Armstrong are Championship standard at their best.
-
The manager should have the final say otherwise he’s not a manager, just a head coach. Having a head coach is fine but then you need a DOF who knows his shit. God knows what the set up is at Saints at the moment, Ralph didn’t seem to have much of a clue who was being brought in so doubt he was making the recruitment decisions so I guess the other managers didn’t either.

The problem is the Tories are in complete denial over the damage they have done to the country with Brexit, and Labour are scared stiff of upsetting the knuckle-draggers in the red wall so avoid the subject like the plague. Any negative impacts are just going to carry on getting ignored until it has stopped becoming a political hot potato, I guess after the next GE.

I remember it well last time we went down, probably the weirdest away end I've been to. The entrance is basically the front door to a terraced house. There is a novelty factor the first season you go down, it sort of wore off when Luton stuffed their 3rd goal in against our bunch of over-paid losers though.
-
Our promotion season under Adkins was great but in general the Championship is shit. It’s bollocks to say the atmosphere in the grounds is better, you don’t get the Premier League tourist nob heads but they are just replaced with row after row of empty seats. Shit players, shit football and trips to shithole northern towns. Its only going to be fun if we are winning week after week.

What, like £3mill for Calum Wilson, or 800k for Aaron Ramsdale?
-
Because he went to Newcastle?

List of Russian equipment losses edges towards 10,000 according to this site: https://www.oryxspioenkop.com/2022/02/attack-on-europe-documenting-equipment.html?m=1 And that's only the ones that have been caught on camera, I guess there are some duplicates but estimates are that is only around 90% of the true total. Hopefully Ukraine are just waiting for the right conditions and the new heavy weapons and will launch a major offensive. If the Russians start getting pushed back again you would like to think that would be the end for Putin but who knows.

So he's going to be banned from their games with Bournemouth, West Ham, Everton, Leeds and Leicester but back to play us - fucking brilliant.

It is mental that a company with a turnover the size of Saints can make decisions like that when the whole damn thing depends on the 11 players on the pitch performing. I would love to see the process that led to those decisions being made. Starting the season with Adams, Armstrong and Mara as our striking options was kamkazee stuff. Whoever was manager was doomed to be sacked from that moment onwards because we were never going to score enough goals. Appointing Jones was just bat-shit crazy, even ignoring his lack of experience, the clash of styles was never going to work.
-
To be fair Jones had zero top level experience as a player or manager, that was the biggest issue. At least a former player who has been there and done it can speak with some sort of authority, just like a manager who has had success abroad at the top level.
-
Can't see any Premier League teams being interested in either of them, both proven failures at the highest level. You just have to see how well Tella has done to see the size of the gulf, the Premier League is a different beast now than even 5 years ago. Chelsea spent more than the rest of Europe combined and they are mid-table.
-
This, the gap between the Prem and Championship is massive now. If we get the right manager and if the owners are willing/able to take a bit of a punt money wise there is no reason why we couldn't do what Fulham or Bournemouth did. Fulham were very similar in that they spend a whole load of cash on new players the season they went down. The squad is a mess but there are assets to raise cash and a load of young players who should improve. Just need to add some players with a bit of fight, especially in midfield who, apart from Lavia, are a bunch of pussies.
-
I thought his positioning was off and the above shows how bad it was. Looks to me like a classic mistake made through lack of experience. Even a shit keep with a bit of experience would know that it would take an extraordinary header to beat you from there if you were in position.
-
Might be, or might not be if the owners think it makes sense to take a punt on a swift return. We just don’t know.
