Really hope Adams plays, I thought he had a great game at Elland Road. -
Wembley Tickets - extra tickets also SOLD OUT
aintforever replied to Harry_SFC's topic in The Saints
Anyone else have trouble getting tickets for kids? I've had to stump up full price because it never gave me the kids price option even after putting in their membership details. Robbing bastards. -

VAR is far from perfect but I think I still prefer it from some of the decisions we had prior to it. They need to look at how it is implemented in World Cups and in Europe because it doesn't seem to be as much of an interference when they use it. The worst part of it is when the get the ref to go over to the side of the pitch to look at the video. The VAR ref should just make the call and tell the bloke on the pitch if it is right or wrong IMO. There should also be a time limit as in Cricket, if it needs to be studied over and over in minute detail then it is not clear an obvious. Offsides - they should just draw a big fat line and any doubt goes in the favour of the attacker. One thing Var has shown is how awful at making the correct decisions the on-field officials are. It is near on impossible for some bloke running down the line (often not in-line with the attacker) to look at the moment the ball is kicked and the position of the striker/defenders at the same time and make the correct call. Same goes for the ref on the pitch, trying to make the correct call whilst desperately trying to keep up with athletes, looking through a crowd of players and being shouted at by thousands of biased supporters.

They are just desperately try to start up some culture wars prior to the GE, hopefully all but the brain dead will see it for what it is. Lanyards FFS.

You are assuming Baz would have been in the same position, McCarthy made that save look easy by being in the right spot like good keepers do. Baz may well have done the same but many a time this season his positioning has seemed questionable.. I still think he will be a top keeper, he makes some good reflex saves and is excellent with his feet. Positioning and decision making are things that should improve with experience.
-
You have to say probably yes. They were quite straight forward saves but the type that Baz would have let in. You have to wonder where we would have finished this year if we had a decent keeper between the sticks all season.

Good result, have to fancy our chances at St Mary’s given their away record, especially if Che is back - he was a big miss today. It’s refreshing to have a keeper that actually stops the ball from going in the goal, Stewart looks promising as well so all good.

I think I talk about it more than enough, thanks. At least I’m not one of these bellends that tries to act all hard in case they are considered woke - like it’s some sort of negative.
-
Not that I wasn’t against racism, I have always found it abhorrent. I was just wasn’t as interested in making an issue out of it or discussing it. We are all more woke now than back in the 90s - well some of us have progressed at least.
-
Not at all, the incident at work happened decades ago, long before I ever posted anything on an internet message board. I was at an age where I didn’t really give a shit about those sort of issues - feel free to keep obsessing over me tho x s

I am well aware of the differences between Israel and Islamic states, my issue with Israel is purely their treatment of Palestine. Very different but still fucking over people’s human rights.
-
I’m not Adams’ biggest fan but he played an important role in the way we played against Leeds so it will be a big blow if he’s out. Fucking typical.
-
Stop it Baby Reindeer, you are getting all weird again.

Clearly missed my posts on the Ukraine thread then. I find the lack of concern of human rights from many Islamic states just as repugnant as Israel but this thread is about Israel so that’s what I have commented on, not sure why that is surprising. I’m sure I mentioned my feelings on Islamic governments when Qatar was being discussed during the World Cup. To be honest I am not a fan of any religion, in my opinion anyone who makes life choices based on a centuries old book is an idiot so the idea that I have something specifically against Jews is just laughable.

I've noticed that Arabs getting shot doesn't particularly bother you, seems to be a common trait on this thread It bothers me, I think the Saudi regime's record on human rights is a disgrace, I would happily see sanctions against them or at least we should stop supplying arms. To them and Israel. I don't have time for a lot of these Islamic countries, doesn't change how I feel about what is happening in Palestine.
-
Why don't you start a thread on Saudi Arabia, then maybe people will express an opinion on it? I'm surprised you didn't think of that.
-
I dunno, it has pissed some people off in the party, especially those on the left, but 99% of the electorate won't know anything about Elphicke or even care. To the vast majority it's just going to be another Tory who thinks Sunak is shit and Labour offer a better alternative.
-
I don't know about the worst but the best one to watch is definitely Roy Keane when Man Utd are playing shit.
-
It's getting to the point where the longer he delays calling a GE the worse it looks for the government. The electorate clearly want change and he is dragging it out for obvious selfish reasons. The fact that not even his party members, let alone the British people voted for hm to be PM makes it look even worse.
-
That's nonsense, they should be practiced over and over by the whole team so that when they step up under pressure they don't even have to think about where they are going to put it. Le Tiss was the best penalty taker the Prem has ever seen and I remember watching him practice them before games at the Milton End all the time. If practicing helped him I'm pretty sure the likes of Ryan Manning would benefit from it.

Yeah, and we seem to be particularly good at shooting our selves in the foot.
