  1. On no, not my hilarious nick-name again! Brilliant. That’s almost as sad as your obsession with SOG which is frankly fucking weird, bordering on scary.
  2. Fuck me is there a single thread on this place that doesn’t descend into the same sad fucks having a pop at SOG? I came on here to laugh at GM’s latest mental breakdown not read this tedious crap. If you don’t like him that much just put on on ignore, we're not in the school playground anymore.
  3. History doesn’t get you points. We got promoted with a bunch of decent Championship players and all we have done, apart from a few exceptions, is add a load more to the squad. We needed to spend big on a striker to give us a chance.
  4. Best player on the pitch today by a mile.
  5. Surely if we offered him enough he would have stayed.
  6. That’s just fucking tragic.
  7. Is that a new conspiracy theory involving snakes?
  8. ----------- Ramsdale --------- Suga - THB - Bednarek - KWP ------Downes ---- Les ------- Dibling --- Fernandes --- Fraser ------------- BBD -------------
  9. Potter is the obvious choice, similar style of play but with more Premier League experience. I think this lot are going down anyway regardless of manager, just not enough goals in the side. We’ve brought three Championship strikers, should have kept Adams and spent big on one decent goalscorer.
  10. That’s a bit OTT. In hindsight it was obviously the wrong decision but I thought the reasoning behind it was sound. If Archer was slotting them in in training and wanted to take them, it makes some sense to give your no9 the chance to get off the mark.
  11. True, we were in decline.
  12. What a load of bollocks, the idea that the style of football you prefer is linked to class is one of the most bizarre things I have ever read on here, and that is saying something. Martin got us promoted at the first attempt so the fans have rightly cut him some slack, he is probably out of his depth but in my opinion deserves to at least be given a chance to prove himself. Jones was a complete disaster from day one, he took a side that had stayed up comfortably for seasons and fucked it.
  13. I don’t pay a huge amount of attention to what happens in the US but it seems so polarised, do many people actually change sides? Looked to me like the biggest threat to the democrats was the lack of enthusiasm over Biden meaning a large chunk of their voters would not bother voting. I expect this new ticket will get their voters off their asses and down to the polling stations and hopefully they will win comfortably. Surely Trump’s antics would have put off a decent proportion of the traditional republican voters so while they say they support them in the polls they will stay at home polling day. But who knows, the US is a weird place.
  14. Bunch of bloody drama queens on here. We scraped up via the playoffs and have signed a load of players who, apart from Ramsdale, have little to no record of success at Premier League level - we will probably go down regardless of who is manager. That is just a fact. Sacking the manager now would be madness, our best hope is to see if Martin can put a decent side together with the new signings - if he can’t then it’s worth thinking about maybe getting a new guy, until then it’s not worth wetting the bed over.
  15. To be fair he is the only convicted criminal. Plus none of the others suggested injecting bleach to cure covid.
  16. I agree. Hopefully one or two of the new signings come good but we have brought in little proven quality up front.
  17. That’s what everyone said last time we went down yet the season after was one of the most enjoyable I have experienced.
  18. I think we will probably go down regardless of what system we play. I just don’t think there are enough goals in that team wether we have Martin in charge or Pep.
  19. Or maybe our players are just not good enough?
  20. I not sure anyone would keep this squad up.
  21. Agree. We probably need both but a decent goalscorer would more likely keep us up than a keeper.
  22. … in the Championship
  23. I’m not sure what everyone was expecting, no one is going to start singing and making a noise just because they are sat in a different seat.
  24. Played well. Second half was frustrating but Newcastle just parked the bus. More confident of staying up now than before the game, just need to invest in a keeper.
  25. Maybe he’s the best we have got?
