Exactly, B&Q is already open, we’re talking about playing a few football matches in over 1 months time. If half the Premier league clubs go bust (which they probably will do without TV money) the NHS will suffer more through lack of tax revenue than in the unlikely event that someone gets hospitalised because of this. Sooner or later we are just going to crack on with our lives as usual and accept that some people will die from Coronavirus, just like we accept that people die in car crashes, smoking and from other diseases.
-
Now you are just talking nonsense. 1. They are all going to be tested regularly. 2. They are all fit young men so will be very low risk anyway. Fat or old people wondering around BnQ will be taking a much bigger risk just to do some pointless DIY.
-
If they don’t play they won’t get any TV money, take the TV money out of the Prem and it’s ****ed and the taxman will lose out.
-
It will be fine. They have over a month to organise a few football matches - it's not beyond the capabilities of man.

Is shoving a test in the post a “completed test” now then? Surely the results of home tests are logged onto a database somewhere when they are actually done?
-
If you’re trying to accurately illustrate the level of testing surely what qualifies as a test should remain consistent?
-
You’ve got to love how this government hits their targets! “Previously, only instances in which the swab had been processed through a lab were counted as a test. But the new definition - added on 27 April - included tests "posted to an individual at home". On 29 April, the definition was extended yet further to also encompass "tests sent to... satellite testing locations".

The best bit about the 95/96 great escape was that Man City had to better our result and some scouser in the crowd told Steve Lomas we were losing so he spent the last few minutes time wasting trying to hold on for a draw.
-
I would have said that as well. Think we stayed up by one goal.
-
But the language used, especially from anyone high-profile can these encourage idiots, we all know that. Given that we all know where the virus started (we have had nothing but Wohan - virus - China - Death in the news for month now) calling it Chinese Virus seems unnecessary. Would you call it "Chinese Virus" in front of Chinese friends?
-
Just seems unnecessary to me, we all know where it started, are you seriously going to forget? Who cares if a few people get attacked or abused though eh?
-
We all know where it originated but I don’t see what is achieved by calling it “Chinese” instead of its name, except for fuelling more racist abuse like this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-51961158 What exactly are you hoping to achieve?
-
I totally agree that the Chinese government should take the blame for this, their wet markets are disgusting and need to be closed down. But Chinese people are being racially abused and attacked over here because of this and idiots like Trump purposely changing the name to "Chinese virus" will not achieve anything except fuel more abuse.
-
No a fool would be someone who is ignorant about the abuse some Chinese people have been suffering because of this and use language that will only make it worse. Sorry that's not a fool, its a c*nt.
-
We all know where it originated and it already has a name but you for whatever reason decided to rename it.

8th of June is 5 weeks away, It will be fine. If restrictions are not starting to ease by then the economy will be toast anyway so I can see it happening.
-
"Chinese virus" Seriously - Are you Donald Trump or something? Never miss a chance to be just a little bit racist.
-
Playing behind closed doors should be achievable IMO. The numbers of people that appear to need to be involved seems a bit high but most of these will not have to be in physical contact with anyone. As long as there is capacity to test the players, coaches and officials. The media, camera men, security staff etc can just go to work just like millions are every day up and down the country.
-
I found them pretty straight forward to use to be honest, and whilst it is on you cannot touch your mouth or pick you nose etc so they must cut down transmissions there as well. I expect the only reason we are not being advised to wear them is because there are not enough of them to go around.
-
Wouldn’t need to delay anything, the players can start their fitness work without Ralph being there.
-
Who were holding football matches, rock concerts and packing out pubs across the country when we should have been socially distancing.
-
Why would self isolating for two weeks be a problem?
-
That's an obvious concern but surely the positives will outweigh the negatives, it shouldn't be hard for the government to get the message across that you still need to stay at home if you have symptoms. There was a bit about Iceland on TV last night and they have tested 10% of their population and HALF the people with the virus had no symptoms. They will be the people spreading it, not the one or two idiots who don't self isolate properly when they are ill. If they are sat opposite you on a train surely it's better if they and you have a mask rather than neither of you?

Yep, well done!
