  1. They wouldn’t need to, they would just know that some gezzer who works for Boris completely ignores the rules and the government think it’s ok so why shouldn’t they.
  2. I'm not sure what all that has got to do with the riot in Brixton though, I've only seen a small clip and there are clearly black and white people involved. Anyway, police tactics for these sort of things seem Ito have been quite passive for a while, since the 2012 riots there seems to be an element of let it happen, video it and arrest the perpetrators afterwards. Wether black or white I think anyone convicted from last night's disgraceful episode with get a severe 'example making' sentence. Just like many black and white people did in 2012 and any BLM/statue lovers convicted from those riots.
  3. How can I be racist and nominated for the least racist poster award at the same time?
  4. Blimey, it's amazing how much empathy you can show to people who are, most likely, white racists! Black people are far more likely to live in poverty in the UK, they watch someone of their race murdered on youtube by the police, are naturally angry and campaign for equality and all some people can do is cry about a few statues. The unconscious racism in some people is so so obvious.
  5. No surprise some thick cunts think it’s a good idea. fair Play to Ben Mee for calling it how it is: “I’m embarrassed and ashamed at the fans bringing that out. They’ve completely missed the point. These people need to come into the 21st century and educate themselves.”
  6. Brilliant! But in the interests of equality shouldn't you also post a version up for our resident racists? GAMMONOPOLY?
  7. I wouldn’t have an issue with those either.
  8. Some people think that the mindless minority are too many, I fail to see the harm in some footballers trying to make a difference. seriously, what is your issue with a bunch of lads showing support for equality? Where is the negative there?
  9. Me neither, no harm in trying to improve things tho.
  10. Think you’re missing the point somewhat, it’s not about proving anything, it’s about SHOWING you are against racism. The more people do that the more the racists among us will know that their views are outdated and unacceptable.
  11. I hope they boycott the thing as well, BLM has never been about slavery though. Even if they don't surely we can all agree that any stance against racial inequality & prejudice, no matter how little, is a good thing though?
  12. Not sure what your point is. There are plenty of LGBT people concerned about their rights in Islamic countries, likewise modern day slavery is an important issue. It doesn't make anti-racism campaigners any less concerned about racism in the west.
  13. TBF, his post said he didn't know.
  14. The issue is racism, that's why our history of slavery is been mentioned. That doesn't make modern day slavery any less of an issue.
  15. I'm being as sensible as you are. It's obvious to everyone that people making gestures like taking the knee are simply making an ant-racism gesture in response to what happened to in the US not subscribing to anything political. That's why all sorts of people and organisations are doing it.
  16. Maybe go on the march then but put small print on your placard? BLACK LIVES MATTER* * This means that black lives matter but I do not agree with certain political ideas on specific websites affiliated to the Black live matter movement.
  17. I wouldn't send them money if you don't agree with them.
  18. I think their aims are clear. There are obviously people within the different groups with their own ideas of how to achieve those aims but by saying Black Lives Matter you are saying just that.
  19. Black Lives Matter is not a political party. As well as just being a slogan it's also just a loose confederation of groups advocating for racial justice. Their aims are clear and the people involved had a whole range of political views. In the words of one of their activists it "encompasses all who publicly declare that black lives matter and devote their time and energy accordingly" Do you really think everyone who protests or takes the knee has the same political views?
  20. I've always thought it was a bit too 'stating the obvious' but you can see why it resonates with people after watching that George Floyd video. I thought the most shocking thing about it was that wether the cop meant to kill him or not, his life just didn't appear to matter. Even when he knew he was being videoed, it didn't matter what happened to the guy under his knee. That's why I think it is important for people to show some empathy to the cause.
  21. Maybe they just all agree that black lives matter?
