Classic Tories that, just to avoid giving out vouchers in case those nasty poor people swap them for fags.

Apparently one of those who died was armed with a taser, can’t confirm if this report is accurate or not tho: Violent Trump rioter shocks own testicles to death One of the four dead rioters from January 6’s attack on the Capitol Building was Kevin Greeson, a rabid Trump supporter who wished death upon Nancy Pelosi and supported the Proud Boys. He liked to pose with his many long firearms and state that he was willing to do violence to those who don’t sufficiently support Donald Trump. Greeson invaded the Capitol Building and commenced looting. He attempted to remove a large painting of Thomas “Tip” O’Neill, speaker of the house in the 80s, but in reaching up to remove the painting, activated the taser in his pants pocket. This subjected his testicles to the full force of the electric blast, and with the switch continually pressed by the fold in his trousers, delivered many shocks there, one following another. Even the heart of a great patriot such as Kevin Greeson could not withstand such an attack and he died of cardiac arrest, possibly with the painting of O’Neill draped over his lifeless form. I think we can all agree: He will be missed.

Less traffic means less crashes.

I wouldn’t know you particular circumstances but you said no matter how much virus was circulating, if you were in an area with a high rate and the hospitals were already stretched then taking up an ICU bed would make a difference. The NHS staff are performing heroics up and down the country at the moment, the last thing they need is more RTAs.
-
I thought they have banned driving without good reason?
-
You can exercise and stay healthy without cycling on the road which is relatively dangerous. If you are taking up an ICU bed and the hospital is already stretched with Covid patients the doctors may have to prioritise meaning people could die because there is not enough capacity - it’s not rocket science. I’m not saying you shouldn’t go out on your bike, I have been for some great rides during lockdown. But to say the level of virus doesn’t matter is nonsense.
-
That’s bollocks, if you ended up in ICU that is taking resources away from Covid patients.

Using a democratic process to change a decision is nothing like making up false accusations of fraud to undermine a vote. I’m not surprised a simpleton like you can’t see the difference though. If Cameron has claimed the vote was fraudulent and just ignored the result it would have been similar.

It’s about time they enforced the rules, too many people taking the piss with the rules and they always have an excuse.
-
Just don’t let him near the button!

Exactly.

You didn't even get the right door so I'm not sure how you can say what the situation the other side was.

She wasn't executed for criminal damage, she was shot because she was part of a mob threatening a load of Senators. You really do talk some shite.

You cannot divorce the protests from their cause though, you can have more sympathy for violence and disorder if there is genuine injustice, like the riots in South Africa during apartheid or in Hong Kong for example. The violence around the BLM protests was wrong but rioting over police murder is a bit more understandable than because your side lost an election IMO. Either way the people causing the violence are generally twats wether they are left or right. I have never understood why for whatever cause people protest over, some people feel the need to attack some poor copper just doing their job.
-
No I don't. I said at the time they were a bunch of twats.
-
There's protesting, then there is trying to break into congress. I don't have a problem with anyone protesting, it's a fundamental right.
-
To be fair, one group are protesting about police murder, the others don't like an election result.
-
I never suggested one form of rioting is more acceptable, just that you should expect a different response from security protecting Congress than police dealing with protests/riots. It's not rocket science.
-
I think 9 in total in 2020, breaking into the Capitol building is a bit different to rioting in the streets tho. This article highlights the difference in the policing in two similar events: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/06/capitol-mob-police-trump-george-floyd-protests-photos

Is your hero still "playing a blinder"?
-
Yeah, I'm surprised more were not shot, you don't expect those who protect the Capitol to mess around. I think we all know the death toll would be higher had it been a BLM protest trying to takeover Congress.
-
Pipe bomb, person shot and killed, riots, breaking into the Capitol. Just like the Brexit protests...

They need to enact the 25th, the bloke is getting more and more deranged.
