Poor first half but good to see us put up a bit of a fight in the second. That disgrace of a decision by the ref at the end shows why we need VAR. Last year’s play-off games were fantastic, definitely up there amongst my favourite games. Martin deserves credit for getting us back up at the first attempt, it’s just a shame his tactics are flawed and he either can’t or won’t change style. I would put money on whoever they hire making us worse.

Lallana could be an option but I have never really had him down as the managerial type. I would probably go for a big name who's on the managerial scrapheap, someone who can put a rocket up the arse of the players and get the fans excited. We might as well have a gamble at this stage because we have nothing to lose now this season.

Not sure sure getting Wednesday to 9th in the Championship is much on an achievement, I would probably go for Cooper over Rohl. SR taking so long to get rid of Martin really has put the club in a difficult position, no-one is going to want a job where relegation is pretty much guaranteed. I would be tempted to get a short term replacement in for the rest of the season and have the new guy lined-up to take over in the summer.
