  1. I have sat back and read this site for quite some time, rarely posting. It used to be a great source of information, and at times amusing. Its only very recently that the atmosphere has become like a morgue and if there is anything I can do to help it return to anywhere near its former glory then I am more than happy to throw my hat in the ring and help out. Yes the place needs a fresh start, the site is over moderated. I don't know any of the posters personally (that I know of) therefore i believe I would make a very unbiased Mod. People who post need to man up and realise this is a FORUM where people are going to hide behind their keyboards, sound off, talk ****e and sometimes just mess around. Surely that is what an internet forum is all about. Everybodies opinion is as valid as the next person and sometimes people just wont agree.........aint that just the way of the world????? At the end of the day we all love the Saints thats why we all come on here.
  2. Do you have to be a current full member to be considered?????
  3. Alan pardew has never been the man to take us forward. He has no plan B in games, substitutions always came too late to affect a game, the squad looked decidedly unfit at the start of this season. Yes the timing is a little strange, but if it wasnt for Marcus passing away i think this may have happened after the Plymouth game. People are blinded by the JPT win last season, we were inconsistent in the league last season and all we heard was excuses about dodgy pitches and teams playing negatively against us. We are an expensively assembled side who should have done better and shown more consistency than we did, and the three league games at the start of this season only cemented that theory. Cortese has made quite a few gaffs but on this one I couldnt agree with him more, my only regret is that he went momentarily soft at the end of last season and didnt do it then.
  4. After the first 20mins we were totally one dimensional. Orient stuck two brutes on Lambert, meaning that he dropped deeper and deeper to try and drag them out and create space, but we carried on pumping aimless long balls to where Lambert should have been. Puncheon was dreadful, everytime the ball went to him any momentum in our attack was lost, his speed of thought is lethargic at best. Jaidi is a spent force, I dont recall him winning a header in which he was challenged and his distribution was as bad as I have seen from any player at any level in a very long time. Hammond looked totally unfit again, he is supposed to be our midfield terrier, but looks more like a lost kitten. And then we come to the manager.....everyone could see that things werent working out as early as half time but no change of any description (tactical or personnel) took place until the 80th minute. Very similar to the Plymouth where again the changes came far too late to have any real impact on a game that it was blatantly obvious we were not going to win from a long time out. Solutions........wide players who actually give us width, pass the ball(dont just lump it), more pace in the team and a midfielder who can actually cover some ground and get in where it hurts and finally a manager who has the plums to do something when things arent going so well.
  5. Thank you for saving our club. Your legacy will live forever.
