Not much on offer from either side so far. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

That's my interpretation too. The ref saw it in real time and gave yellow. He watched the slo-mo replay (you could see that on MOTD) and then gave red. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

I got bought one of those about 5 years ago. Utterly useless and pointless. Still in the box. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

But his complete absence from all other stats demonstrates his inability to do anything with the ball once he's beaten a defender. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

I doubt KWP would have done any better against Saint-Maximin. To be frank, it's just a toss-up between those two unless Ralph (in whom I do trust) reverts to our best RB at present, who is JWP. But that depletes us in midfield which we can ill afford with Redmond and Djenepo out and Boufal not creating much. I hope Smallbone will be back as he's showed promise. And obviously we desperately need Armstrong. Depending on fitness and availability, I'd like to see McCarthy Valery/KWP Stephens Bednarek Bertrand Smallbone Hojbjerg Armstrong JWP Long Ings Boufal, Adams, Romeu, Gunn, Obafemi, Valery/KWP, Vestergaard Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Accepted. I admit I missed that. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

But you didn't say much better in the second half. Glad you've clarified that you omitted that. Oh, sorry, forgot. Of course you never post anything positive. I don't need to try to be smart. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Surprised then that you didn't see the great defensive effort in the second half. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

You've described the Djenepo challenge very well. I agree, yellow would have been right. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Just how much of the game have you actually seen? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Saying he raked studs proves you are just making it up now to suit your version. Didn't happen. You've clearly made up your mind, and so have I. We disagree. Move on. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Yesterday he needed to do that, and did it quite well. But otherwise, I agree. Wouldn't be sorry to see him go. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

To say he was too slow is slightly ridiculous. I was there and it happened right in front of me. I've described what happened. He didn't "leave his foot in". That implies intent, which wasn't the case. The defender slid in and Djenepo's foot, which was in the action of making a block, landed on the leg. It wasn't dangerous or reckless. He got straight up and carried on. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

That's not really accurate. The ref WAS overruled because he'd decided yellow. He didn't choose to review it. He was advised by the VAR ref to look at the screen where, against the protocol, he was shown a slow motion replay which made it look very different. There was no intent. It wasn't violent. It wasn't a stamp. It was a slightly mistimed tackle. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Holgate just dived in with a tackle that looked far worse than Djenepo yesterday. No VAR check. Ref is Kevin Friend. Matin Atkinson VAR. Both very experienced. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

4-0 now. Dear oh dear. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Early on we seemed to get quite a few go for us. The two worst decisions have been Bertrand's and Djenepo's red cards. Both harsh and overruling the ref's decision made close to the action in real time. Handballs recently have gone against us. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Strongly put, but I fear you're not far from the truth. Would those same VAR decisions from yesterday have been made at Anfield against Liverpool? I think the relative seniority of ref and VAR ref is significant. Inexperienced VAR refs are reluctant to challenge a more experienced on-field ref. And more experienced VAR refs may well want to demonstrate their standing by intervening and showing they know better. I also notice that where both ref and VAR ref are experienced, overrules are rare. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

A lot depends on fitness. If Armstrong is out, probably play JWP with Boufal and Smallbone with Hojbjerg, assuming Smallbone's recovered. Or give Adams a chance at #10. If Armstrong is ok, just a question of the RB choice - Valery (most likely unless it's decided his fitness isn't back) KWP or JWP with Smallbone DM. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk
