Sorry. We're keeping it to small numbers. But I'll pass on questions. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Tongue in cheek, I sent an invite to SFC to have a rep join us this week. First response was sorry, no. Then a change of heart. The CEO and MD of Saints (Martin Seemens and Toby Steele) are both joining us for an on-line forum. [emoji15][emoji15] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

As an act of faith a group of us are getting together for a pint or two and chat, mainly football, via Zoom at 15:00 each Saturday. (Day and time may be varied for TV coverage) Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

We are less well equipped than Italy so imagine what it's going to be like if we get it on their scale. Your comment is a complete non sequitur. The state of health care elsewhere is nothing to do with the Tories. Grossly underfunding the NHS is everything to do with the Tories. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

But we do have a much-reduced and over stretched NHS thanks to the last 8 or so years. And a lot of other things. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

The neutral grounds are to deter home fans from congregating outside the stadium, apparently. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

This gets the message across. Wash your hands like you've been chopping chillies and now want to masturbate. (Stolen from FB.) Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Posted on the other thread but more relevant here: I'm looking forward to seeing how the soaps are going to create storylines with the pubs and cafes closed and everyone self-isolating. That's if they don't give up, like EastEnders already has. They always used to try to reflect reality, but no hope with this one. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Wrong thread.

My stepson, until today, worked providing IT systems in the hospitality business. 80% of the workforce laid off with one week's notice. It's going to be carnage in that sector. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

New phone to me. Way cheaper than premium brands and very good. Really pleased with it. Only the 6T - last year's model, but great. 7 has been around for a bit and 8 just being released. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

I tend to agree with you. I think there are some desperate suggestions being made. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Meanwhile, back to football. I've seen rumours (no idea how valid) that Premier League are going to try to play all remaining games at neutral venues behind closed doors, all on TV. I have doubts but if it does happen, no more home games for Saints, which has to be a result. [emoji23] Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

This. Seriously, it's getting scary how this government is brainwashing large parts of the population into thinking any balanced reporting or expression of varying views is anti government, biased and has to be suppressed. This government wants absolute power with all opposition removed. There is plenty of historical evidence as to where that leads. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

Meanwhile, back on football. The Euro conference today seems to have come out with proposals totally at odds with reality. The prospect of restarting football and completing all competitions by June 30 is surely unrealistic, unless clubs are prepared to risk cross-infection of players and staff and play behind closed doors. In fact it sounds like desperation to me. I actually wonder if this episode is going to change the face of football radically. At the top level, either this season or next is going to be massively disrupted. TV will be unwilling to pay for a reduced programme. The transfer market could well be stagnated. If income is significantly reduced, there is going to be a severe reality check for those on the ever-expanding gravy train. This bubble had to burst some time, and this could be the time. But I'm far more worried about the impact on the lower tiers. Any significant break is going to bankrupt a significant number of clubs unless they get support from the FA. Would the Premier League spread its riches to keep grass roots football afloat? I doubt it. Their self-interests know no bounds. I don't think we'll come out of this with football ever the same again. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

But it's just plain barmy to stop large gatherings whilst forcing millions of children, teachers and other staff in schools to gather in large groups at close quarters every day. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk -

As I said, any sort of ad hoc one-off solution simply isn't happening. No legal basis for it. No precedent. Although awarding the league to Liverpool on a unanimous vote of all other clubs is perhaps a slim possibility. Try to promote Leeds or relegate Norwich and the legal actions will fly in.
