  1. And it was good to see him getting so far forward. Think he's feeling his lack of a goal this season - getting well behind Jos!
  2. Just realised we didn't concede a league goal from open play in Feb. Just the pen at wha. :-)
  3. Or 13th even.
  4. Embarrassing that b is next to n on the keyboard. :-)
  5. When I can't get to a game I wear one of three red tops for luck. Couldn't decide on which one today so put all three on. Seems to work.
  6. Rickeeeeeee!
  7. If you're ever in my home county if Shropshire, go to Bishops Castle. Small town with two breweries (Three Tuns and Six Bells, both excellent but 6 Bells best) and six of the best real ale pubs you'll ever find within a couple if hundred yards in the High Street. Beer Festival every July but lots of other festivals throughout the year that are just excuses to drink beer. (if you need an excuse).
  8. What is life without fretting about Saints?
  9. I use it. It works.
  10. (copied from another thread with apologies, but more appropriate here) Very much like last season, and I'll be happy to hang on to 2nd. Despite inconsistencies WHU are in a position to be clear at the top, as were Brighton last year. Birmingham keep winning, like Huddersfield did, but this year there's Reading too doing that so it's even tougher. Many have said it before me, but it was never going to be easy. This is a tough league with plenty of serious contenders and the only way we'll get automatic is to do better than two of WHU, Reading and Birmingham over the next 14 games: relying on them to slip won't work. But we kept doing better than Huddersfield last season so now the challenge is there to do it again and to see how good we really are. Still think we can do it.
  11. Still can't help wondering how well he would have developed with us. Good luck to him anyway.

  13. 3.. Straight red
  14. Green off for WHA. No keeper on the bench.
  15. Yep C'mon Barnsley. Your pies are fantastic. Match them with your silky soccer skills!
  16. Do nuns work in Barnsley? Or Millwall?
  17. Barnsley 1 Brum 1:)
  18. Perhaps I've just got happy memories of some of his goals - especially Wembley.
  19. Forte? De Ridder?
  20. On a loan. Always liked him and not convinced we've found much better since. But obviously surplus to requirements at Reading now.
  21. Everything close to the ground is very partisan - strictly home fans only. So if you're risking it, no shirt and keep quiet. I'm heading for the Black Lion near Plaistow tube. Good real ale and far enough out to be ok, but still not sure about shirt. Think I'm doing this one in civvies. staying overnigth so may fancy a few post-game around London Bridge.
  22. That explains quite a lot.
  23. You didn't do maths at school then? As a maths graduate I could explain but if you think just a little bit, it's not too hard.
