He's looking a lot better this season. It's a huge year for him, and he's started on the right track.
-
Sums up my thoughts exactly, although can't separate Pelle and Mane. Also special mention to Davis who finally showed his form of 18 months ago.
-
This! Tommog was saying exactly this just a week ago and people slammed him. Seems like people are finally pulling their heads out the sand.

It may be hard sometimes, but let's try to be positive...!

Bet we can. -
Is anyone still defending James Ward-Prowse?

He's more focussed on getting into the England squad. lol -
Do the happy clappers accept we're going to be in a relegation fight yet? That was as bad performance as I can remember. We're a squad full of average players, except one or two.
-
Unfortunately Ronald was less than convincing in denying Victor's unhappiness/wanting to move on.
-
Clasie isn't a creative midfielder in that sense. We still haven't replaced Lallana.
-
Nail on the head.
-
There is a stark lack of players with genuine quality in our side. Nobody able or willing to get hold of the ball and dictate play. I hate to say it but I'm very nervous about the season ahead.
-
Well Fonte has hardly covered himself in glory so far either.

He's got a point though, you don't see Everton rolling over letting Stones, McCarthy, Coleman and Baines leave so freely. -

Completely agree with the overall summary -
We'll win this leg 2-1, and lose the second leg.
-
Surely this is equally 'drivel' as some on here list to protest, as it is stating at this stage he is not up to it. So far he has shown nothing to suggest he is good enough.
-
You simply can't value Jayrod as high as prior to his injury. There are more players who have never really recovered than returned to full fitness, let alone regain the same level.
-
That just emphasises mine and many other people's concern though. We were crying out for a goal, yet our new signing Juanmi is left on the bench. We always preach how we will only sign players who are better than what we have got, I fear this time around there has been too much emphasis on expanding the squad size rather than signing key first team players.
-
If we're going purely on Koemans comments then we should realistically only expect 1 more CB. Anything else is a bonus.
-
Pelle was the highlight for me, looks refreshed and back to his best. Those slating Mane, make no mistake he is by far our best player and will be gone for big bucks next summer, enjoy him while we have him. Martina was better than expected, although beaten FAR too easily in their goal. Didn't even challenge Wijnaldum.

You've missed my point completely, I'm well over the whole Toby thing. My point is that we like versatile defenders who can play multiple positions. Koulibaly can cover exactly the same positions as Toby so may well be a viable direct replacement.
-
Sounds just like someone called Toby....

Nothing to see here. Jose changed his agent a few months ago and it's not Mendes.

Have been a big supporter of him since he joined, but he drop off his level last season IMO. Year before last he was immaculate in possession, however last season was unfortunately littered with a number of sloppy passes and wasteful finishing (Spurs at home summed this up). I hope he can recover his form/confidence as he's a vital cog when on song.
