  1. For takeaways I'm gonna nominate New Jade Palace in Woolston, it's my benchmark when it comes to other Chineses. I live closest to Bitterne Triangle but have never rated the ones down there so will always go a little further to Woolston. I'm not a fan of Magic Wok but do intend to give Chop Suey a try as I've heard good things. Been too long since I've eaten out at one, not completely sure why. Will have to be done. Sadly I currently think this will most likely happen down in Southsea. Albert Road in fact.
  2. I predicted 4-1 Unfortunately the money stayed in my pocket Anyone aware of what the odds were?
  3. If he's any relation of Jermaine there's no doubt of his quality. Sign him up.

    Sam Baldock

Did he not score 2 hat-tricks last season? Possibly in successive games, if not 3 games. Aswell as the one yesterday of course. Got mentioned in conversation the other week amongst all the other rumours of JayRod and Maynard. Definitely has an eye for goal and a decent finisher in one on one situations. Could be an exciting signing.
  5. Haha yes couldn't agree more. Never short of a Co-op either.
  6. I'd maintain The Castle as a boozer best avoiding due to the familiar crowds I've seen that still drink there. Haven't heard decent things said about that place for years. It's got it's regulars and high percentage of those have seen better days, you'd at least hope. Same more or less applies to the Bitterne Park Hotel. Not the worst place but another one which has it's tight group of regulars and is far from being a family pub looking a bit run down. The Station on the edge of Bitterne Park I class as my local is an easy place to get along with. It's gone downhill a bit but have little qualms about going for a drink there. Typically friendly and fairly decent on a matchday. At the end of the day you could say that you go to wherever best suits you and whoever you're drinking with. Once you get used to it it's not so bad.
  7. 2 rather terrible penalties there. Didn't see the game apart from the shootout but Holloway will have something to say no doubt.
  8. That Max Gradel penalty incident was never a penalty for me either. Jack Cork barely made any attempt to obstruct or take the man out and Gradel brought his foot against Cork's leg. Always hated that little **** ever since a couple(?) seasons back when he got mouthy and threatening down on the touchline and the referee had no choice but to send him off.
  9. Now they've edited it. Can't blame the news editors for having Sunderland transfers on the brain atm.
  10. Taken from SSN: Sunderland have completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Jack Cork from Chelsea. Skysports.com revealed earlier on Thursday that a move was close and the news has now been confirmed that Cork has joined the Saints. The England Under 21 international, who spent last season on loan at Burnley, has signed a four-year deal for a fee thought to be around £750,000.
