Lambert?! really? Ok he finally scored and did his usual support striker stuff but for me Jaidi and Chamberlain shone!

Chamberlain to Arsenal or Liverpool £10m

Possibly change the thread title to 'Chamberlain to anyone who offers an acceptable deal and can agree a contract with the player (Most likely one of the big 4)' -
keep up!

Adkins said all three back in contention -
Why do people take rumours as gospel? The only people who know which players we would like to sign is probably Cortese and Adkins.

Bradley Wright-Phillips at Sports Personality of the Year

Just because Darts is not tough physically does not mean it is not a sport. Snooker and Golf are not physically tough either, but they involve a lot of hard work, training and commitment. The talent behind Darts is excellent hand eye co-ordination and pin point accuracy. Just like Phil Taylor could not do the Heptathlon, Jessica Ennis could not play professional darts. To say it is not a sport is just naive. -
I think we need a striker, a winger, a centre midfielder and a centre defender. Matt Fryatt, Carlos Edwards, Neil Danns and Matt Mills would be my wishlist.

No we didnt. Last season after 19 games we had 29 points. 1 more than we do now
-
Pardew finished last season with 83 points. If you add 3 points on for the Gillingham game at the end of the season where we played a weak team, that would have given us 86 points and a better goal difference than Leeds = auto promotion. Unfortunately we had -10 points so finished 7th instead. He also won the JPT and had a decent run in the FA Cup. I hardly call that underachieving.
-
Personally I wish we still had Pardew. At least he could motivate players and made sure they fought for every game. Last season under him I was confident we would get a win or draw everygame. Now Im not even confident we can score!

1) All well and good if you can win... no sorry... score in a game of football against half decent opposition. We have been about this many points of for a VERY long time and not made up any ground. 2) The teams above are not as inconsistent as us 3) 'There will' IF we can sign the player we want, if not then we wont sign anyone and will wait until summer
-
Nail on head. Lambert has been off form all year, Guly is inconsistent, Connolly is injury prone and off form, Barnard has his off field troubles!
-
What the f**k has happened to this team this year??? We will not go up with this inconsistency. Don't want to hear people say keep the faith or plenty more games left because we have been saying that for the last two months and we are still miles away from the top!

Too inconsistent to go up automatically.

Switch MK Dons with Ipswich or Norwich. Bristol with Southampton (We offered sms when Cortese/ Liebherr took over but FA turned us down) Switch Plymouth with Cardiff (in my opinion even though its wales it should have been included) Millenium stadium that is.
-
When you present something it definitely looks better if you show proof of the ability to sell out stadiums with big support and atmosphere than coming up with the idea of a soccer city IN MY OPINION.
-
I know that but I think they could have made better choices.
-
What looks better... small stadiums with small attendances or big stadiums with big attendances? We have some of the best stadiums in the world and we chose MK Dons, Bristol and Plymouth! Why did we not chose the bigger stadium from clubs with better support and more history.
-
On a serious note... obviously the stadium choice was not the 'main reason' our bid was rejected. But selecting Milton Keynes, Bristol and Plymouth was very stupid considering all the places in the country with bigger stadiums and bigger fan bases. Beckham talked about passion. Average attendances of 8000, 14000 and 7000 are hardly signals of passionate support in those cities.

Chris Wood... on loan from West Brom.

Sheffield United did this but it was their third kit and was never used. More of a collectors item.

Are they using a loophole that means they can operate as though they were in administration without actually going into administration. Ok the difference between us and them is our bank wouldn't extend our overdraft and Wednesday cant afford to pay a tax bill. Either way we both couldn't pay bills. Wednesday and its creditors are now accepting bids for the club offering a percentage of debt owed, as though they were in admin. Surely in principle there is no difference. Both spent beyond their means and had/have cash flow problems. Should they be docked points anyway? Or should we have gone down this route and tried to find investors and offer the club at a cut price instead of going into admin?
