We are doing well at the moment! Not long ago we didnt have Puncheon or Barnard and a few players were off-form. If something similar happens again we need to be prepared.

We are a privately owned club. We will probably never see the accounts as Cortese/Liebherr's are not obliged to release them. The fact is Cortese says there is money there and 'substantial' amounts, so does it really matter where it is coming from.

How do you know they weren't doing this? Did we not sign Chaplow this way? Maybe other negotiations that could have started in Nov/Dec are ongoing or fell apart. Just because we have not signed anyone doesn't mean we weren't trying before Jan!

It was not 'reported', it came from Adkins mouth. Those substantial bids have obviously not been completed yet so they are either ongoing or not happening. The only people who know what's happening are Adkins/Cortese. If anything happens it will be on the OS. 'Simple as that'

Adkins just did interview on Wave 105... He said we want to add to the squad, obviously we already got chaplow in, theres the lallana situation and we have guly. Reading between the lines he could mean we have the lallana and guly situations to sort OR we signed guly.

Barnard is not a reserve. He is a first team player, who got injured and due to Guly's form has been put on the bench and used as a sub. Connolly is always injured and is clearly past it, Doble has never played for the first team so is hardly a back up to Lambert, Guly or Barnard. Priskin is miles better than Connolly and Doble, and yes I have seen him play on several occasions.

We are never going to sign a player of prem quality in League One. The idea is to sign players who would do well in the championship! Why does everyone suddenly have this idea of buying premiership players, its madness, getting way too ahead of ourselves.

I really cant see Pilkington coming here. He has literally just signed a new contract with Huddersfield despite reports of premier league and championship interest. He would cost us £2m plus

James Beattie - Considering his age now, I could see this one happening but rumours of ex-players always seem to pop up and they never come true. Tamas Priskin - Seen him play a couple of times, always looks a threat, quick feet, good finish, would be happy if we signed him. Also dont quite understand why people keep going on about players who can play in the premiership. Adkins and Cortese have only talked about building a team that can compete at the top of the championship. I expect we would sign further players for the premiership. No player with the talent to play in the premiership will drop to League One!

I feel many people start to think attacking players are **** if they don't score, and they completely ignore everything else they do. Like Lambert, just because he wasn't scoring he was ****. Guly set up two goals against Huddersfield with his quick passing and vision. He also set up some golden chances which weren't converted to goals. Unfortunately he missed a couple of chances to score himself, that happens. Personally I feel he has done enough to start the game on Saturday.

What do you want Joe Hart or something?! Davis is a very good keeper for this league and a superb shot stopper. As long as Davis is keep the ball out of his net then majority of people will be happy! You do remind me of the lad stood next to me up at Sheffield Wednesday, slating Davis all game, to then celebrate when he made 3 world class saves to make sure we went home with 3 points, that shut him up! As for Butterfield, I agree that Richardson is better but what exactly did Butterfield do wrong to warrant 2/10? He was taken of due to a dead leg.
