Oh come on... he saved us on a lot of occasions with some fantastic saves. Sheffield Wednesday away comes to mind. It made me laugh that day, was stood at the back with some pillock going on about how **** Davis was all game only for him to pull off 2 or 3 world class saves in injury time to make sure we took the 3 points home. That shut him up.

Some people love to ignore the fact Davis saves us on so many occasions. His shot stopping is superb and he has won/saved ALOT of points for us over the last couple of season. If people want to pick at little things then I would say Bart gets nervous easily, rushes things under pressure and has awful distribution. Last season against Man Utd half his kicks went out for a throw in!

How do you know any striker coming in is third choice!!?? You dont. We know we were in for Sharp and the RUMOUR in the press was we were also in for Maynard. Maybe our first choice is still a possibility and thats why we pulled out of a deal for Sharp.

He needs his confidence back. You dont become a bad player overnight. I'm sure when Bolton were about to sign a fat useless Kevin Davies they probably said they could do much better. Im sure that opinion has changed now. However £2m is way over the top considering recent form. At least Davies was a free transfer for Bolton.

I can think of many reasons why: - It was a 4 hour event which involved alot of waiting around - It was a friendly (they are always boring) - It cost quite a bit (especially if you go as a family) - People are still on holiday

A drama? sorry but who said it was a drama? I simply posted a question considering we have a larger squad than most and the subs have been cut to 5. In fact Adkins even hinted that the decision to cut down to 5 subs was a bad one for a club like us with a large squad and for trying to push youngsters through. So no it was not made out to be a drama, just a question to get peoples opinions, because this is a forum. If you dont like it then dont bother commenting.

Alot of the players who will miss out are not youngsters.

Its alright saying we need loads of players just in case something happens but the reality is alot of our players are going to miss out and not make many appearances this season. Yes it is good for the club because we can rest players and have cover but in reality players who think they are good enough for the first 11 but dont make many appearances are not going to be happy bunnies.

Every game one of our centre midfielders will miss out on the squad entirely, yet they are all good enough for the first 11. In terms of attacking midfielders we have lallana, de ridder, chamberlain, holmes, guly, forte... and only 3 of these will be in a match squad no doubt. The new substitution rule is ridiculous. Who cares how many subs you are allowed to name, it only matters that you can make 3 subs. Teams will not be able to bring through youngsters as its a risk to name them over a more senior player.

Alot of good players are not going to make the match day squads.

With only being allowed to name 5 substitutes this season... We have at least 23 players (maybe more if we sign more players) that could make the first 11. We can only name 16 so that makes 7 players who will miss out each game.

I just worry that with the new rules on only being allowed 5 subs that our squad is now too large and we wont be able to keep them all happy.

I like it apart from the white socks. I hate black shorts with the home kit, white looks so much nicer. I also hate white socks on the away kit, blue would be nicer.
