I was thinking it was because they are both new players. They were together a lot being chumps during the warm up. I would have thought Cork is staying in a hotel for the moment.

They did use slow motion a bit last year too but not as much. I liked the slowmotion for Lallanas corner to see if Connollys shot was over the line (I concluded that it wasnt) and also for some of De Ridders skill.

Am I right in saying that Cork mentioned staying in the same hotel room with De Ridder in his interview ?

Bit over the top! It was a good performance by everyone but not that good. I agree with Saint Stevo, probably knock 1 off a few. Bart doesnt deserve 5 just for that mistake, he made some good saves. I would still go with Davis for now. Connolly has brilliant movement but so manys times he could have kept the tempo going by playing a quick pass but chose to wait and look for other options which results in WBA players getting back and the pace slowing down. I think we need a skillful, pacey striker. We didnt really threaten up front until Rickie came on.

I disagree. I think Sneiderlein was our most talented midfielder last season when he wasnt injured. Against Walsall last game of the season he was immense, cutting out passes here, there and everywhere. I think it is Hammond that I would drop. He is too slow and immobile.

I literally sat there the whole second half wanting our players to just give him the ball. Lets hope he is consistent. If teams have to put two defenders on him then it will open things up for the strikers and Lallana.

No need to be so rude or patronising. I didn't expect anyone to take my post so literally as saying we would make a decision purely based on age. I'm suggesting that at the age of 24, Jemal still has a long career ahead of him, meaning he has potential to improve and become a better player. Gorkss on the other hand is 30 in November and most likely at his peak, with maybe a few years left in him. Maybe Gorkss is a better player now, I don't know enough about them to make that judgement, but Jemal may grow to be better than Gorkss is now. After all the club is looking to the future, putting a big emphasis on young players and ones who are willing to play in the Championship but good enough to make the transition to the Premiership.
