No Bristol arent better than Leicester or us. It is one game. However FACT when people put press on our defence, they struggle. It happened in the last few minutes at Barnsley, it happened at Ipswich when they scored twice in a few minutes and its happpening now at Leicester. We NEED a strong centre back to partner Fonte.

So far we have played teams that havent really attacked us and have been no threat. When Ipswich threatened we fell apart at the back and luckily the attackers saved us. Now Leicester are threatening and we appear to be struggling with it. Signs that we NEED another decent centre back.

Defence getting found out. Could see this happening. When Ipswich peppered the box we collapsed at the back.

It is truely awful. You can tell it is added after the game, the commentary sounds so unnatural.

I cant see us signing a striker. I think we have enough and De Ridder has been used up top on a number of occasions already. I think we will sign a centre back and that will be us done.

That will never happen. They will not say "ok you can have him, test him out and come back to us in January". It will be pay up or dont.

A season long loan means he will play for us in the Championship so forget the Premiership for now. He clearly has a lot of competition for places at Sunderland. In addition, he is a million miles better than Jaidi, Seaborne and Martin. I have relatives who support Sheffield United and have been to loads of their games. He was superb for them and that was in this league only a matter of season ago. As someone else said, during those seasons for Sheffield United he was an absolute rock at the back and was linked with big money moves. It hasnt worked for him at Sunderland for whatever reason but to say what you have and write him off is beyond belief. With Adkins record of getting the best out of people, I think he would be a good signing.

These will be the same people who said Puncheon was crap but he went on to play well at a higher level. Guly has been superb this season. Last night I noticed a lot of things about him. He tracked back well and helped Richardson, making a few decent tackles. He has vision and can weave his way in and out of tight gaps, opening it up for other players (i.e Connollys goal and when Lallana nearly scored a second against Leeds). He also has the ability to drive forward with the ball because of his strength. His passing and touch are fantastic. Ok yes he was shocking at Torquay but in all the league games he has been fantastic. He brings so many different dimensions to the team that De Ridder wouldnt. De Ridder looks a great player but I get the feeling he would just be a winger running down the line and doing a few step overs, which in the right game would be great but Guly offers so much more than that and works so well with Lambert, Connolly and Lallana with this quick passing and moving style we have going at the moment.

Ronaldo was worth 80 odd... Lallana is worth more
