i thought our defence in general was a lot better when bart was in goal, well done kelvin for his loyalty last summer, but bart is by far the better keeper, if it was loyalty we would still be playing le tiss, paine & benalli to name a few, i still cant get the "kelvin saved us last season" comment, did we not go down? with kelvin in goal you know we will concede in every game Bart is young, he is our future, lets play him for the rest of the season, before he gets fed up & wants to leave

had a coin hit me too, bit wastefull, i thought they needed all the money they could get
-
i watch the site a lot, but rarely post, i just hate this obsession that people have with pompey, ok great when we play them, but it just beats me when we are not playing them we have more anti pompey songs than we have pro saints songs,
-
waigo is a far better striker than as a wide man, for me he adds something that we lack, i would start him up front with lambert every time
-
at brentford tuesday and yesterday we sang far too many pompey songs, yes the odd one is ok but to be honest i dont really give a dam about them unless we are playing them, we are coming obsessed just like they were when they were in a lower division to us
-
looking at the cup draw and the teams left in it, we could well get to wembley via the fa cup as well as the jpt and the playoffs i think i'll get my own glass for behind the bar
-
in the fa cup replay 3 or so years ago, i drove, there was plenty of street parking near the ground
-
thanks. when did he go there?
-
where is he playing now? i know he went to stoke but does not seem to play, maybe we should get him back in january
-
13 points off the play offs

been watching saints since 67, saints always have had a whipping boy, i do wonder about some saints fans, just think they like moaning the first one i was aware of was melia, then there was a certain mick channon, when he first got in the side a lot of saints fans hated him, when they realised he was good, they then picked on terry paine, he left then it was hugh fisher, he lost his place so the next one was jim McCalliog, this has carried on through the years, before the mk dons game, a group of fans in the farmhouse were saying "Schneiderlin is crap" maybe they were lining up a replacement for wotton in the whipping boy stakes, as i said i do wonder about some of our fans

as above

ive been watching the points gap between us and 6th place all season, a couple of weeks ago we were 18 points adrift, i actually got £50 at 30-1 (coral) on us getting promoted, its now 16 points and the odds are now 20-1, which reflects the improvement in the side. in my head i dont really think we wil do it, but if we can nibble the points gap down to single figures by xmas, a couple of new signings in january, then we must have a chance, if (a big if) we get to the play offs, we can beat anyone maybe an unlikely dream but its not impossible
-
i agree with that, and myself and 12,000 others will buy season tickets, but our stadium holds 32,000 we need to attract people back, league one football and minus 10 points is not an attractive option in a credit crunch
-
i think saints could of gained a lot of ex regulars back by offering season tickets at the same rate as exsisting season tickets from last year, a lot of people have got out of the habit of going, we need to attract these fans back, i know many who set a limit of £300 on getting a ticket, i like many of you would of renewed no matter what the price, i certainly would not of had a problem if they had offered tickets at the same price for everyone, although ticket sales are good, i honestly think we could of gained another 5000 fans, a good friend of mine who has got heavily into golf is a great example, all summer he has been going on about getting a season ticket, he even left me his credit card details when he went on holiday, providing it was below £300, now he will go to about 4/5 games this season, giving saints £110 instead of £300, i feel with the new start we have missed out big time
-
yes it was painful last season, but that is the past, the focus should be in bringing back lost support, i would of had no problem, in new season tickets being the same price as mine
-
they should of done the new season tickets at the same price as renewed tickets, a new start and all that, by going over the £300 mark that many i spoke to set at their limit, we need to bring back fans who have got out of the habit of going, i think that extra £42 will knock quite a few off the numbers, speaking to an ex season ticket holder yesterday, who had a ticket up to 2 years ago, gave up due to the crap football, lowe etc, he made a good point, he would of been happy to buy a season ticket again with a new start, but set his limit at £300, now he is going to renew his golf membership, looking at the matchday prices he will only go to about 3 or 4 games now, so in stead of getting £300 out of him saints will get £88, also will miss out on the drink/food sales, the ground wont be full, i think saints have missed out here on a few thousand fans i am renewing as i would of done whatever the price, but i think they have got this wrong

hoddle will be anounced tomorrow

it will be hoddle

well tiss play centre midfield in place of ball or case or even steve williams ummm dont think so, you must be joking to think he would do a better job at left midfield than armstrong, did you ever see them play?
-
get real people, matt le tiss is only in your teams for sentimental reasons, yes he was fantastic for our club, a fantastic servant, but no way would he get in a saints all time team, shilton golac, watson, nichol, bridge paine, ball, case, armstrong keegan & ron davies subs....... niemi. killer, williams channon, shearer out of that team who would you drop for tiss????????????

it does not matter who is chairman, manager etc the reason the attendances are down is purely down to the cost for the entertainment provided. our football club has to realise people do have a choice on how to spend their money i'm just stupid, i go to every home game and most away games
