My partner is a very good friend of Cassie (jose's wife) I can confirm this is correct

Cortese may just have it right, Nigel has done fantastic to get us to the prem, we all thank him, he will get another job and I'm sure he has been well paid off, but to move to the next level, is he the man to do it? Obviously Cortese who works with him on a day to day basis doesn't think so, sad to see Nigel go he seems a great bloke, but maybe this all could turn out well

To a certain extent I'm in agreement with you, but the rise in attendances would suggest its not really killing the game, it's just evolving, maybe not in the way us old purists would like
-
You are joking of course, before the prem, back in the 80's, football had become outdated, attendances were declining, stadiums were poor and generally unsafe What Sky have done is create a level way above what we had, dragging football out of the dark ages, attracting some of the best players in the world, more tv coverage, better and safer stadiums, giving a more upmarket appeal to the game, etc etc, but it does come at a cost I guess the championship and below is more of how it used to be, which is why many of us older fans enjoyed the last 3 years in the lower leagues

I suppose the question is, at what price would people stop going? I think saints could easily raise ticket prices by 10% next season, they would only need 27,000 crowds to bring in the same gate receipts, which I'm sure they would exceed
-
Obviously we'd all like to pay less, but from a business point of view, if you are selling 90% of your tickets, you obviously have priced them correctly, if you totally sell out there is room to increase the price, if your selling less than 90 % of your tickets then they should be reduced

I'm sure this must of been mentioned before, available on a free, prem experience, loves saints, would of been good whilst shaw was developing, looking good for Brighton today
-
The thought of playing a weak side really annoys me as it did at Leeds, it brings home everything I hate about being in the prem, it just shows the only ambition is to stay in the prem so we can overcharge fans to pay stupid amounts to players who don't give a dam

Knowing him fairly well, got to ask the question, Why do saints fans continue to call him Fonte A, he really doesn't like it, back to the original point, yes he has looked better every game this season
-
And in what way do you think this fantastic support helped?
-
With so many striking options, rickie has got to perform better than he did against Spurs to be an automatic starter
-
My partner is a very good friend of Joses wife, whilst i do know the reason why AP went, I can assure you it had nothing to do with Cassie

All the doom and gloom around here, really does make me wonder if we would be better off going down

But a tea spoon is quite a specialist tool, it's kinda like trying to play a centre back as full back, you can get away with it for a while it your always gonna get caught out at some stage, the club needs a tea spoon now, we should of sorted an adequate back up plan in the summer !!!
-
is it Jose Fonte or Font Tay ?
-
As an England fan, please let's not bring in 30 year olds for their first caps, we are two years away from a tournament, we should and did play youngsters we won 5-0, job done As a saints fan I'm sure rickie would of bagged a couple, but really what would that of achieved long term for england?

Relegation, a statistical analysis...

Our next 7 games look somewhat easier Home to spurs Swansea Newcastle & Norwich Away to west ham, west brom & QPR I'm confident after those games we will be mid table -

I think you'll find 38 is enough most seasons -

Fair play for all that detail but Isn't it just as simple as average a point a game and we will stay up -
The point I was trying to make but probably explained badly is that when I was in the northam it seemed loud, but now I'm at the other end of the ground I realise we are not actually that loud, esp compared to the villa and man u fans
-
A lot of critisisim of arsenal and everton home support, but ours is not great, I've been in the northam since St Mary's opened but this season I've moved to itchen centre, I've now realised compared to the away fans the northam really isn't very loud, i thought it was good when i was there, are northerners just louder as people? The other thing I didn't realise was they actually do sing in the chapel end!!
-
I'm sure we will are better than at least 3 other teams and I believe if we start taking the league cup more serious where others don't, we could end the season staying up and a wembley appearance, which for me would mean an awesome first season back in the prem

Basically kelvins had his day, the same as Paine. Channon, Le Tiss and many others have, always be a saints legend but it's his time to move on
