  1. I must admit it seemed worse than ever today. We didn't even bother queueing because we knew we'd miss some of the footie.
  2. To be fair I can imagine Crouch paying to watch Saints as he is a true fan. I can't imagine Lowe paying despite claiming to be a fan although this is obviously pure conjecture! I wouldn't have a problem with either coming to SMS as long as they paid.
  3. 1664, San Miguel, Bud would do it for me. Pre poured would be great, plus it's to the clubs' advantage to maximise match day profits. It a relatively simple process to sort out - why don't they? Love the idea of a Wetherspoons in the Concourse. I always drink in the King Alfred before the match but would rather have a pint in the ground, watching the footie on Sky - would be great!
  4. I'll be there if it's not raining. Apparently the away bit is uncovered. By the way I'm a left side fan. Mods, can we have a poll please!!?
  5. Yodel-ay-ee-hooooo!!!!!
  6. Ha ha! Sorry. it's just I was just about to say to my wife the other day that I was going to wait for Master Bates' update before I went to work - but I decided not to 'cause it just sounded weird!!! Plus hopefully the deal will be completed today - so the Echo news will be insignificant from now on...
  7. Hopefully this will be the last time that I'll be living in this bizarre world where I wait for Echo reports from someone named Master Bates!
  8. ...and the FL are happy to watch us go to the ground, despite the fact that if it wasn't for us there would be no Theo or Cranie...short sighted b**tards.
  9. 'Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright) - Rod Stewart. 'Any Dream Will Do' - Andrew Lloyd Webber.
  10. 'The Last To Know' - Del Amitri.
  11. Was at my son's kids tournament in South Newton near Salisbury and I didn't see one Pompey top, but loads of Saints shirts - so it's not all doom and gloom! Plus they got to the final - so a good day out!
  12. I sent an email last night discussing the fact that Malwhinney clearly stated we had a right to appeal, but that right seems to have been rescinded out of fear that we will contest the points reduction and win. I also mentioned the fact that the culprits that put us into admin. didn't get punished and it's the club and supporters that take the hit.
  13. KK vs the FL. That's my take on it! Would the FL have the guts to fight a blatantly unfair decision against a high profile English football legend? To be fair the general public wouldn't give a s**t about Ken Bate's struggle, but KK would have the potential to galvanise the country's football fans and media against a ruling that seems to kick clubs that are struggling? There is a lot of pent up sympathy for Luton, Saints and even Leeds!
  14. Perhaps this is where King Kev is getting involved...ordinarily an ordinary club vs the FL would have just one outcome. But if a football legend were to present a case against the league on behalf of a club...the bad publicity for the FL may just be enough for them to start playing fair? Or is this just an alchohol fuelled daydream?
  15. It's just that they've got ****e taste in lager. If St Mary's sold a decent pint (1664, San Miguel, Peroni) then we'd drink them under the table...possibly!
  16. LOL! Surprised you didn't pick 'Diamond Lights' though! How about 'The Only Way Is Up' Yazz?
  17. Seriously...I've already spent far too much of my life staring at your avatar!!!
  18. Better lager than bleedin' Carlsberg - A St Marys 'Pub' would be good. Somewhere to have a few pints and watch Sky Sports before the match. I don't know what time you can start drinking in the Concourse, but I wouldn't want to spend a huge amount of time there!
  19. Just watched a longish (compared to The Championship's usual 25 seconds) 'article' on the demise of Saints, Charlton, and Norwich - but focussing on Saints. What was nice was the recognition of Saints being the first BIG casualty of the credit crunch - they played footage of Keegan, Le Tiss and the FA Cup win. Killer was quoted as 'Saints Defender' and Lawro blaming the gamble of clubs spending to get back in the Prem causing the financial problems resulting in relegation. At least we're not forgotten (this was nationwide BBC1 news) - and in the media we're still seen as a big club. Please let there be some good news soon... I'm a bit ****ed so I bet there's already a thread on this as it's taken me bloody ages to type this!!!
  20. Well, as long as Lowe isn't involved in the decision, I think we stand a better chance of getting it right!
  21. If it came down to Saints existing or not - you'd think that high profile ex players such as Walcott, Bale, Beattie, Jones etc. could help out. Just donating a week's wages would help hugely. If it wasn't for Saints, none of them would be in the position they are in now.
  22. I agree. For whatever reason he wasn't motivated enough and should of f*cked off, at the very least once we were relegated, leaving someone who was up for the job to give us a good chance of promotion in our first Championship season. What a wasted opportunity that was - he was quoted the other day that he didn't even know that Delap had a long throw!!!!! Shows how interested in the team he was - c**t!
  23. There was still about a minute to play and I thought we had one last chance to win the game with a free kick. Couldn't understand why it was all over at that point. Couldn't understand the 3 minutes injury time at the end of the 1st half either. A seriously sh*te ref.
  24. The bloke in the ticket office sounded hopeful that we would have a full ground on Saturday. Whether that includes the corners I don't know? This was at 18.00 yesterday.
  25. Come on Coventry!!!! You can do it!!!
