We need a win here to get on a winning streak. We owe them one for the game at their place, we deserved at least a point out of that one. Confidence is creeping back in with a couple of wins and talk of new signings. Lallana appears to be back on his game, Guly played well away from home, and Chappers is getting closer to fitness. Things are looking good IMO

I like Fox, despite a a very mediocre game yesterday. Poor deliveries by anyone's standard. Only problem for me is when he comes up against real pace, he hasn't got much.
-
It is interesting, that Saints fan is a moron though.

We did, as always. We were in block W2, row W, whiich is on the right hand side of the away end as you look at the pitch. 4 lads, singing our hearts out and trying our best to get a response from those around us. It was much improved in the 2nd half, but before we went 1 up, nobody around us would join in. Incredibly poor for a newly promoted side who sit top of the league, IMO

Great day out, the first away win I've witnessed this season at the 6th attempt. Let's not kid ourselves though. Our support, although good in numbers, was embarrassing untill we went 1 up. Most were stood in silence, no songs got going, and then when the Forest fans chirped up there was a small reply of "we forgot that you were here". Hideous. Was much better in the 2nd half, but all in all a disappointment. With the football - we were comfortable enough, but never really got going untill forest were down to 10. They should have scored at least 1 in the 1st half. Not all doom and gloom though, we scored a good first goal, dominated after they went down to 10 - which we haven't done vs 10 men yet this season. Cork was immense, Jos and Martin were solid, Guly looked decent as a target man, and DC was everywhere, made so many good runs, scored and could have had another. All in all a good day out and a very welcome away win.

With Championship standard finishing we may have lost this by HT, but Forest are sh*t at finishing, and Cotterill is sh*t at managing. Morgan should stick to really top class passing as it's what he does best, but fair play for having another dig despite fluffing a couple of chances

This won't be the end of Connolly. Awsome today, you don't get many players as clever as him. Pulled their defence all over the place.
-
Cork, absolutely bossed midfield. Connolly had a very good game - a goal and an assist, and never stoppede making brilliant runs. Didn't get picked out many times, but took defenders with him every time and opened it up for everyone else time after time
-
Have west ham bid for every single player that has been linked with anyone? Ridiculous. Surely more financial problems for them if they carry on with that transfer policy
-
Morgan....surely he could hit the target from the penalty spot. Might give him an idea of where the goal is for the future

Went on the SAS coach up to Reading a few years ago, for a Friday night game. Think it was the season they stormed it and got 100+ points, and I think we lost 2-0. Was a great laugh, the coach left really early, everyone drinking on the way, then a few hours in the pub before the game. IIRC the stewards and OB were really hot on people being p*ssed and a fair few from the coach were not allowed in. Remember 1 bloke pretty much being carried to the Madjeski

I think the good run has put us under pressure to stay at the top, and that affects the fans. Instead of just enjoying the ride, the fans get nervous as hell if it's not going to plan. That, and the tw*ts that insist on speeding up every chant with clapping and banging kills of chants before they've started. I think our numbers are decent away from home, could be better at SMS. I wish they'd start selling blocks 1-3 instead of 43-44, I think the Northam atmosphere suffers when there are a couple of hundred strangers (no, I'm not having a dig) between the usual crowd and the away fans. Obviously we want more fans in, but I think it would benefit the atmosphere if those extras were next to the away fans on the other side.

I've drawn the short straw so I've got to drive to this one. Trains are just too expensive for anywhere north of....dunno....Winchester I suppose, and too soon after Xmas to stay up there. A sober away day will feel strange but looking forward to it anyway. Think we'll nick this one 1-0 with a good defensive display (and a bit of Forest not being able to hit a barn door)

And some not sensible posts regarding Jason Puncheon

I know it was an obvious comment to make, was just trying to get the discussion back on topic, instead of the tedious sniping that has been going on.

http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=30054 Do Forest fans know something we don't about JP? They're probably just idiots, if we were to loan him to them then he wouldn't be playing against us a few days later. A fair few of them saying we're they're for the taking. Let's hope we're not
-
I was thinking more in relation to our upcoming game against them.
-
Disagree. It's very unlikely that we'll repeat our home form, so we really need to pick up wins away from home, especially against the sides who are struggling. We've got a lot of tough away games coming up, we'll be losing a few, so need to win a few.
-
Anyway, I don't believe we are, or are going to be in for Billy Sharp again. I reckon we could get a much better player for the sort of money he'd cost, once wages and a signing on fee are included. Let's just hope he's **** for Leicester
-
This will be my 6th attempt at seeing Saints pick up a win on the road. I think we'll do it this time. I know Cov are sh*t but I'm hoping that the 2nd half showing has given the lads a bit of a boost and reminded them how to win an away game.
-
Sounded like Nigel had a big grin on his face when he was talking about signings on Radio Solent after the Cov game. "maybe some loan signings, maybe some minor signings, or maybe a very major signing :D"

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/7419443/Lennon-won-t-sell-trio Neil Lennon has dismissed speculation that he is prepared to sell Celtic trio Kris Commons, Gary Hooper and Adam Matthews during the January transfer window. Attacking duo Commons and Hooper have been linked with Championship leaders Southampton, while Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in Matthews. All three players missed the Scottish Cup win over Peterhead on Sunday, but Lennon rejected reports that he is prepared to break up his squad. "It's speculation," said Lennon. "I'm not interested in anyone being sold unless the club receives a knock-out offer.

Not a bad draw at all. Very winnable London away day. Hoping Millwall go through so we get a big allocation
