  1. 1-1. Cue hysteria. Then a 1-0 defeat to Wigan.
  2. I hope that people just try to enjoy it. The thing I'm most fearful of is expectation getting the better of everyone. We've been so used to winning, I think it'll come as a shock. I'm worried that the atmosphere will return to being ****e, instead of everyone celebrating the fact we've just had back to back promotions and treating the whole thing like a party. (minus gay clown suits, wigs, banners etc)
  3. I'd love to meet Marian Pahars, absolute hero to me as a schoolkid. And Killer. And a weekend on the p*ss with Claus would be interesting.

    Billy Sharp

Based on his performance against Wolves, a 'good' championship side, he's not good enough to play that role. He didn't have a bad game, but he won't get a sniff against good defenders. His first touch is too loose, he's not big enough physically to hold up any high balls into him, and he's not quick. I rate Billy and he'll do ok against the poorer teams in the prem, if he's got someone up there close to him, but he simply hasn't got anything in the locker to trouble good sides.

    Billy Sharp

I don't think he should start if we're playing 4-3-3/4-5-1. He just doesn't have enough presence or hold the ball up well enough. We're not going to have much of the ball against city, when we do get it, we'll need an outlet. As much as I like Billy and think he's a good finisher, he doesn't suit that formation. He may well be our best bet as someone who'd finish a chance at the moment, but I can't see him getting any chances at city. We need Jay Rod or Rickie up there to at least try to give their defence a problem.
  6. You're an idiot. I'm sure he'll read this and 'leave now'. Players don't just 'leave'. I don't like him, but he's been one of the better performers in pre-season, played well yesterday, has some prem experience, and is a useful squad player.
  7. I didn't miss a home game and did about half the aways, never really saw him looking to do it regularly. He hit plenty of long balls to the front men last year, but didn't see much of him picking out a man in space with passes like that
  8. I'm not usually one for getting ripped off for a pre season game, but I had a spare afternoon and fancied seeing some football. Entertaining enough game but was played at a very slow pace. Crowd was poor, an absolute helmet-fest. Gazza looked good enough, pretty good distribution and a couple of saves. Stephens was poor, not good enough in the air and his passing isn't great. Kept on selling Clyne short with passes out wide, or not passing quickly enough. Clyne was immense, solid at the back and terrorised them going forward. I thought Chappers played well - was alway available and linked play well. I don't think Sharp fits the system well. Looked isolated and didn't hold it up well. Finished his easy chance well. De Ridder is sh*t. I think we should get rid, a) because he's sh*t and b) to stop all those helmets and their hilarious Steeeeeeve tw*ttish behaviour. Steve Davis looked good. Think he'll play whenever fit in the middle. Deano had a good game, but won't feature much IMO. Hooiveld immense, and surprised me with a couple of bullet 50 yards cross field passes to feet. Not really seen that from him before. Oh yea, Puncheon. Played well and a good finish. Still a c*nt.
  9. Same, I always use Radio Taxis, whether in the Fareham West or Southampton areas. Always on the meter and they don't try to mess you around, as just about EVERY taxi rank cab does.

  11. Without exception
  12. If Walcott would be prepared to drop his wages to fit our wage structure, yes. Which he wouldn't IMO.
  13. Arsenal can f*ck right off. Don't they know we're on a march to the champions league? Throw any offers in the bin NC, and fax them a £3m offer for Walcott.
  14. Correct. Anyone who uses that word in any context is an absolute c*nt IMO

Lots of people say that, but we had a 14 hour stopover in Venice last summer and there was no sign of bad smell. Nice place, though shockingly expensive. €90 for a trip around part of the city on a gondolier, €14 a pint. Nice sights though.
  16. For all of our new fans from further afield. They wouldn't have had a clue who our sponsors are otherwise
  17. George Burley?
  18. Scottish. Next....
  19. 14th, FA cup semi. Tadanari Lee and Nathaniel Clyne to make big impressions. Also a 4-0 win over Brighton in one of the cups, just to p*ss Poyet off.
  20. People on here pretended to be ITK, instead of posting comments from people on twitter pretending to be ITK.
  21. Makes sense. 4-3-3 is very adaptable, it pretty much changes to 4-5-1 without possession and against the stronger teams.
  22. He's a c*nt, get rid.
  23. As you go through the leagues, established players will become squad players, squad players will become redundant. It's natural progression. I think we've got the right idea, we're buying players who are decent now, with great potential and still improving. They'll be hungry and keen to impress, hopefully without the ego and wage demands of established premier league journeymen like our rivals are signing. We're building a squad that'll do ok in this league, but essentially building a team for the future, that'll do better than ok.
  24. Yea it's a f*cker. I'd be interested to know the percentage of people under about 27/28 who have managed to buy. Bet it's low. It's tough if you don't want to move somewhere sh*t. Will move out of Whiteley when I do buy though, it's overpriced and and boring, although pleasant enough.
