  1. Houston you have a problem?
  2. oh and I was SO looking forward to your approval too. Can't tell you how gutted I am
  3. Bolt bombs. Seemed to be a "fashion" for a while whilst at school, take two bolts one nut, pack with match heads (swan vestas of course) throw them. They go bang and shear off and travel at a high rate. Of course you have to take it to extremes when youre a nipper so we knicked some industrial scaffolding bolts or some such, packed it with virtually a whole box of matches, screwed it together and it went off in our hands (fnarr) how the fook it didnt take our fingers off I've no idea but it put a hole in me dads garage door. pugging somebody mentioned! excellent. wet clay, mould it, stick some stones in there for funsies and pug away. Chinese throwing stars. Again seemed to be trendy for a while at school. Fuc all dangerous about them eh?! Tin snips, bit of thin metal and off you go. Eyes out.
  4. Thats the most horrific picture I've seen in a while!
  5. yep, i can here him now "wot a year, its crazy... in court in jan/february now im manager of the best country in the world, oh its fantastic geoff. im made up..."
  6. Not guilty? lolage Cleared in a court of law tho, so guess he's not guilty. Ha ha
  7. Did a 90 mile round trip to Aldershot for 9 years, now moved to Alton and thats reduced it to 50. A very nice drive through Bramdean, Owselbury where the only hold up tends to be slowing down for pheasants (optional) and tractors. And thats pretty rare. No idea how you commute to London types do it. Stress my head off it would
  8. Cousins wife is a director of jazz movies. Or used to be, not sure if she's still in the "biz". Was flicking thru channels one evening and saw a documentary of her, they followed her around for a few days. I thought blimey that looks like.. holy crap it IS! I enjoyed their wedding there were a few potential actors there Im sure!
  9. and if you wear anything that looks too "yoof" you look ridiculous anyway. Mid 30's man with his jeans hanging off his arse aint a good look. That said it aint a good look on anybody but my gist has hopefully been got
  10. laughed out loud at that one! The Sting
  11. Im with those afraid of gun jumping. As per another thread wondering how we'll do against Bolton, a good opportunity to pit ourselves against a prem team. Lets beat Millwall first eh?
  12. them or us?
  13. Bring back everyone that once played for us
  14. for the mutton chops alone he got what was coming to him
  15. 126/7. Trail by 20 odd still I'd wager we'll be trailing 1-0 going into the 2nd test. If Alpine was here he would have told us all this by the end of the first morning's session. Mind you, this time he might be right about a whitewash...

    Sherlock

be interesting to see if they pull if they pull it off. Faulks has gone on record saying he wouldnt be unhappy if the book was never dramatized. If they can catch the tension in the tunnels on film the way he did in the book would make it compelling viewing
  17. Its not happening now anyway, plans have been shelved
  18. Think it shows we can adapt without anybody, we can change tac tics accordingly i.e not so many overlaps and balls chucked in the box. Play to your strengths
  19. i think its a unit of exaggeration
  20. He has Childline on speed-dial apparently
  21. totally agree, awesomely flickable. Did a track day at brands indy circuit, piddled all over the bigger heavier bikes. Until coming out of clearways onto the straight then they got some steam up. But yep, top bike indeed. Being a V twin sounded great with a scorpion too anyway, de railing! my apologies...
  22. yeah think you may be right going by what other bikers and you chaps on here have said. Maybe choice of bike helped, SV650S. Known to many hardcore bikers as a girls bike
  23. Thats not true, well not in my case anyway. Took a DAS when I was in my late 30's, never ridden before, passed test bought a 650, insurance fully comp for a year was £16 pm
  24. Viscious circle that is almost impossible to break. Kids cant get insurance so lots drive without it, uninsured driver has an accident and that bumps up the cost to legal road users. Very simplified but thats the crux. Oh that and frivolous (sp!) claims.
