Saints / Reading / West Ham run in: Games to go . . .
keithd replied to .comsaint's topic in The Saints
Truly believe there's a twist to come in the season. Am hoping its something like we beat Reading then Reading get over taken by West Ham. Not that i want W Ham up particularly, just dont want us to be on the receiving end of the twist...! -

I get the idea some people dont like anybody associated with Portsmouth, be they current or ex staff. Just an observation

I watched Reading play Leeds and didnt think they were all that good. In fact until they scored Leeds had the better chances to go ahead. But credit where its due and all that, they stuck at it and got the result they deserved which is all that matters as this stage of the season. Reckon Brighton will get something from the game tonight....

I think we'll tear 'em a new one. Something similar to the 4-1 we got against Brum at home in September. Either that or a 1-0 win with a Sharpers tap in on the 85th minute - no pitch invasions this time please

Anybody want my ticket? Buggered if im going now, Mummy brought me up not to be nawty let alone pwoppa nawty. Can take the chance. Face value to a Saint. + £5 ontop for a blue fan, not fair to rip off decent fans. the £5 will go towards a drink for me

hanging around in his range rover looking for trade

Worth risking him? Would rather he was on the bench Saturday and there if needed or for the last 15 if its going OK and make sure he's fit for Monday, potentially a tougher game. Im confident we'll win without him. My bet would be he wont start Saturday.
-
Theirs wasnt a penalty, 3rd goal from a corner that wasnt. So we lost 1-0 really. But still lost. Onwards and upwards, as Cork has said who wouldnt want to be in our position.... If we get di(ked or even beaten Saturday then I shall get concerned. For now, take it on the chin like a pro and not let it get me down

Its been a good few days without an Illingsworth thread, I can enjoy my weekend now knowing we have one
-
For goodness sake, there's over a week to go before the game lets not get to tearful its not sold out yet. All this no excuses lark is boring...
-
Ah right OK, cheers. Thought there was some lock down, no pubs open til after 6pm that sort of guff. Nice one, a few cheeky ones to liven up, watch a 5-0 tubbing, then back for more of the same
-
Cant start a thread and cant see info - not that i looked that hard - any boozers open before the game? Know Chapel arms was last time we played them but think that was an all ticket affair...
-
Got mine. And yes confirmed pick up on the day, the lady said to me no posting out due to potential security issues. But then again earlier in the set they said no online sales, looked yesterday and that was the case still so they must have changed that today
-
Cortese? Adkins? Are they fringe players? Maybe from developement squad? Im confident in our run in if anybody gets injured we'll have cover. Most worrying would maybe be Bart if Kelv got injured this week and Bart had to perform on tv....

I thought the OP said it tongue in cheek! Im the best supporter. I ran up a big roaming bill cos I couldnt get WIFI in Marrakech last weekend and needed to keep up with the Mi'wall game.
-
Not hopeful, dunno why. Just law of averages I guess, we gotta lose sometime... and if its to happen this weekend rather than against that lot down the road On the other hand I thought that last season and look at how we finished.... Win this one and I'll believe we can go up

Nice catch Bad call but like Raz said its part of poker, take the bad beats with the lucky calls. All part and parcel of the game. Mate of mine was bubbled with pocket queens, called by 6-2 off. She hit her straight on the river. This daft bint had brought her husband along, he was meant to be looking after their 3 month old who they'd also brought along but he was too busy getting lashed at the bar. She looks after the little chavvy and is calling with everything. To my mind if you dont have the time to play the tournament in full either forfeit your chips or dont play in the first place. I want to play now!
