I wouldn't think he had total control over transfers for a second. It is his field though and I'd imagine that he is listened to and regarded highly. The only reason that he gets a hard time is because he can't help himself when there's a camera and a mic. A grumpier, less obliging Less would be seen as a bit of a hero. He has had a massive influence in the coming and going of players and that has had a massive influence on where we are now, pretty solid as a club but on the edge of achieving more. I know the last twelve months have been a bit stagnant but the "Take Over/Finding a Buyer" must hold sway on decisions. On the VD tip I don't think Less will be to blame in the slightest. Fk me it wouldn't surprise me if he went to a European club for a good price and ended up at lfc on loan for a year

It's great to see him developing so well. If you mean the majority wanted a more experienced player to come in to replace Fonte then you are probably right but once the options became either Jack or Caceres then I think the majority could see no sense in playing the later. Looking forward to watching his progression next season as I think that he, McQueen and Sam will all get plenty of game time next season. I agree with those that would like to see him alongside Oriel. Still think that Puel and Yoshida have really helped him, that and Less's gamble. None of our big buys have paid back but a fair few of the others have. The turn over is getting a bit quick for my liking. I would prefer at least a three year cycle of a year getting settled and improving, a year shocking the league and a year showing respect. Additional years are acceptable.

If ever a player had such a two sided game. He either rocks it or faffs it. He has made many superb saves and kept us in a fair few games. Then there's the other side where he falters regularly. He said himself that he was tish this season. He is certainly better than last season.

If he wants to move on, then yes he should've. Hopefully a time will come when it is standard for a player to hand in a transfer request when wanting a move. Time's have changed. Clubs holding their players' to ransom is no more than distant memory (I don't consider staying for one more year of a lengthy contract to be that). Trouble is that when a player that doe's they're instantly worth a lesser amount to the club.

Hope he is just proving his worth and with the players coming in or stepping up and with none going out it could be the start of us entering the level we're aiming for team wise not league position. If Les can pull it off and shape the future I'll be happy as and hold him in high esteem. Even though if he doe's there'll be countless vids of him knocking one out about it. He has a lot to make up after fkn it up last year but reckon he has the balls and the backing to pull it off this season.
