Just watched the press conference. More depressed than ever. That bloke doesn't think we've got an earthly chance, does he? Thing is, if it was Rupert Lowe with a plan to save the club or nothing, i still think we should take the former. Otherwise it will be no more club at all. Shocking. Just shows what an idiot Lowe has been, mortgaging away our future, making appalling appointments, and generally thinking he knew it all. He actually new stuff all. Time for Craig Daaaavid to get his wallet out...

GS, I said that up there a bit. do keep up.

Beeb said that we might still have the points deduction if our scenario means a 'significant' proportion of our debt is wiped. Guess definition of that is what will be argued between the Football League (who stand to get lawsuits from other clubs) and our own lawyers. Ooh. I wonder who will win...

I'm going (i used the excuse that it might be the last chance I get to see the Saints to the wife and kids), but am worried that Charlton might be right up for it, sensing that if we do get 10 deducted in the end this season that they still have a slight chance, or might just be so doomed that it allows them to play with real freedom. i hope we are truly up for it and that Wotte gives a Churchillian performance in the dressing room before the game. Attack, attack, attack!

From that I would say that George Burley's bar bill is the constant thread causing financial meltdown...

0-0 better as goals scored counts I think, all being equal on goal difference?
-
The moment I heard about this I had a vision of him doing that scoring against us but not celebrating much thing they do these days. We have to be clear of trouble by the last day because if it's us or them they will win.

Hooray. Someone with a brain. Most people advocating administration have no clue about what to do next, alternative personnel, or what it would mean for the club, just that it might mean the end to boo hoo pantomime nasty man Rupert - 'behind you!'.
-
I actually usually agree with a fair chunk of your views Alpine, but not this time. I think the correct decision would be to try to scrape past this deadline, and TRY to stay up. We're still in the mix, amazingly, given how the club is run and the clowns we have chosen to lead the playing staff. And we all know that Rupert will do his disastrous 'cutting the cloth' bit if we did go down - a certainty if we took the hit now - and we'd end up in the fourth division anyway. At least this way we have a chance of Championship football next time out. I'm pretty sure the banks would take a fairly dim view on automatic relegation, too...

Exactly the sort of game we **** up.

The other way of doing it is to phone up the manager and say you're one of George Weah's cousins. That way it's free. But in answer to the original point, yes we are in deep doo doo, but the people who are buying to play at the ground are doing just that. They should not get too many delusions of grandeur... I've played at Chelsea. It was good fun, and great to be walking out of the tunnel (and scoring a penalty), but I am not sure that Chelsea have suffered too much and I certainly don't think I'm Frank Lampard. Or his son.

Forest players call Davies Jimmy Cranky. Not looking good for them. But we need to be clear before the last day as they'll beat us up there. I think we're down. Lowe prevaricated for about two months too long before getting rid of the Dutch clown. The first one.
-
He did really well last time he tried that.
-
Sounds like Forest are at least trying to save themselves by getting in more firepower. If only we could think of that.
-
Adam. Should never have bitten.
-
He's right: 'we can still do save outselves'.
-
I'm more depressed about the continuing abuse of the apostrophe.
-
I like them, especially their new single.
-
no we won't (stay up)
-
what's brilliant about that is how the players celebrate each goal, showing real togetherness and team spirit. v happy tonight. ps pompey lost too! almost a perfect night

Don't be silly. He was still in his room crafting an effigy of his own head out of Lindt's finest 70% cocoa. The flicky hair was the tricky bit.
-
I'm surprised didn't do any bleating about how badly his ickle fwend George 'hic' Burley was treated at St Mary's and how it's all gone the way of the pear since he's departed.
-
We would need to be safe by then. I would hope that Charlton would have gone by then, but think they'll win and Plymouth will win, buoyed by their new manager. I'd expect watford and Derby to organise a draw. We will lose against Forest with DMcg having an intentional mare against the club he wanted to join and Billy Davies having enough in his locker and the last laugh by keeping them up. I still think we should have nabbed him.

Perhaps it only sounded like a bit of the word 'country'.
