Several million? I would wager that clubs sniffing around a player like Drew who currently plies his trade for a club on the verge of liquidation would offer considerably less than what he is 'worth'. I know what you mean about losing the quality - I felt the same at the precise point of the beginning of our descent - when we sold Bridge - but I'm afraid Drew's style (pretty lightweight) will not go very far IMHO. Still, it might be that he just needs a change, like so many players that get sucked into the Lowe-pit that is SFC.
Might the black and gold be the Wolves connection?
David Gold is also small though, and the 'hovering' made me think of his helicopter.
PS all this delaying and false deadlines might very well be an aid to an investor forcing the price down.
If there was one way of turning off potential Irish investors it would be to offend them by resorting to cliches, stereotypes and mildly racist generalisations. Please stop it, Echo, and please stop it everyone else.
It's just being in the Premier. That's all. Guaranteed big income, exposure, and ego-satiating.
We're crap and in Div 1. I'm afraid it's quite easy to read, this one.
I know. So annoying.
Still, saw this on the Beeb:
Portsmouth are expected to confirm Paul Hart as their permanent manager this week. (The Times)
Hope so. Not a good player attractor.
The idea of the that big fat bellend Pompey supporter with the bell wearing a shirt with an anti-malnutrition message (new owner's pet concern) is actually quite funny.
This fits with the Strachan to them move though and I really hope they don't have the last laugh.
Yes. I'd think he was a right berk. They will be in serious trouble next season. Unless of course they get someone like him, because all the big time charlies will be offski over the summer.
something will happen in the next 48 hours. I hope that's the last time I type that, even in jest.
Think the worst - liquidation - and we'll all be pleasantly surprised. I hope.
ENDGAME!
