To be fair, I doubt he'll get many more games for Brighton and think he's done his coaching badges so not ludicrous suggestion. Doubt he'd give a monkeys about a few scrotes booing for ten minutes. Anyhow, perhaps it was Fonte? Guess we'll never know now. PS anyone else think Mowbray wouldn't be a disaster? realistic, would take no shit, lots of experience. All of which rule him out from Ankersen's 'edgy' (ie shit) views about thinking outside the box or something. ie shit.

Beattie! Good lord. Why on earth would we have loved that? When I read past player, I thought of Yoshi. That would have been interesting.

Senior figures at Southampton now accept that it would have been better to sack Ralph Hasenhuttl at the end of last season #saintsfc @JackRosser_ If only they had read the frigging forum...

I’m getting a bit nervous about how many people think it will be a breeze in the Championship and that we will be a big fish in a small pond. It won’t be. And we will not be. Plenty more down to come as long as delude egotists like Rasmussen Ankersen at the club, who are clearly unwavering in their stupid beliefs that they are in some way ‘outliers’ and progressive, out of the box thinkers who gain the edge over the average guy through their ability to take risks and reap the rewards. It might have been a fluke at Brentford that he got lucky with, but patting himself on the back for unearthing another diamond from the lower leagues is clearly what drives him. Even after the abject failures of the Welsh twat and the Spanish fraud. It’s amazing that no-one sees through him. Except, of course l, the swathe of senior staff that have chosen the door rather than be here to watch a man wallowing in his self-delusion. I can’t see any progress whatsoever until he is gone.

‘We gave it everything’ - Kyle Walker Peters. Did you fuck, mate. Piss off. JWP says standards had slipped from day one of pre season. Why have you only said this now? What sort of captain does that? A shit one. Hope they all have terrible careers elsewhere. Except Lavia. Who is immense.

I’ve met Russell Martin - my kids were both at his academy - and mentioned him a while back, to general piss take. He’s a good man. And has a good temperament. Not sure whether he will mean immediate return but he wouldn’t be end of the world. potter would be my choice but guess we aren’t entertaining that one.

🚨4 man shortlist drawn up🚨 Southamptons new Director of Football Jason Wilcox is believed to be looking for a young up and coming coach. #SaintsFC some bloke on Twitter called Martin Sanders. If true, turn the lights out

Free money: Mitrovic to score. As day follows night.

Sorry. Got carried away. Just so angry about it all.

I think his injury will magically disappear when he joins his new club, the one he signed for verbally months ago. Just like a lot of them. Mercenaries, who don't give a toss. Just looking for the next club. Same happening at Leicester. Big problem for lower table small to medium sized clubs. Billy big boots players with agents who won't put it in too much in case they get injured (looking at you, JWP) and mess up their big move. Convinced Salisu and his agent are off to Newcastle or somewhere, and thus is refusing to play. Wish there were journalists who would at least ask the question. All we get is silence from the club and soft journos tickliing their tummy. Pathetic. Have long felt that one of our biggest problems this year has been 'bad eggs' stinking out the place. People like Che (just a suspicion), and mouthy ones in the dressing room disturbing the peace and shredding morale. Hence why Selles played the nice, safe boys like Elyanoussi and Walcott. Selles couldn't stand up to them, so they walked all over him and he resorted to the Ralph-esque tendancy of just shrugging and picking his mates. We need the opposite. Someone with a clear vision and takes no shit. Hope the board pick someone like that, not another Euro-yes man or 'name' player tinkering in management.
-
We are all expecting a heavy defeat against Fulham, at home, with our Premier League status at stake. Few of us are expecting any effort or guts. Probably only around one person thinks Ruben Selles will pick remotely near the right team, or make the right in-game calls, or set up properly. Let that sink in. That's where we are now. And if we don't start making massive changes now with regards to preparing a side for next season, with decent players who care, led by an experienced manager who doesn't just jerk off to Pep formations and theory, we are on an inexorable slide to the lower leagues.

Milner is going to Brighton, I heard

If only Che Adams was good at football. He’d be a good footballer. If he could play football. Shame he can’t. Always makes the worst possible decision.
-
Body language of the players pre kick off is fucking shit. Zero energy or belief.

Watch us do the exact opposite of Everton’s performance under Dyche. The manager that numpties on here questioned and who we should have appointed. Quite obviously. Not sure I can face watching our gutless wonders after this masterclass from Dyche and spirited players who actually care.

Unbelievable. really bad fouls every minute, unpunished. Horrible club. Ref must have had a phone call before the match
-
There should have been many more cards in this one. They get away with murder because of the atmosphere. Will always remember that game where they said they had too many with Covid. We were on good form. They were in danger of relegation. FA rolled over and let them tickle their belly until the transfer window came round and we lost to a completely different team. Corrupt to the hilt.
-
What an extraordinarily unlikeable team Newcastle are. Shithousery all over the park. Especially Wilson and Trippier. Horrible. And such an entitled crowd. Come on arsenal.
-
I agree. Also, I heard that Alex Crook saying Theo has been one of our best players and letting him go was a mistake, which is weird because he always looks to me like a Dad in a Lads v Dads game with no end product and very little start product either, and some trotting at 3/4 pace in between. Still, each to his own. He talks a good game, but sadly his skills or pace haven't been there for a good 4-5 years now. Punditry awaits.
-
Except Lavia, who is the best player I've seen in a Saints shirt for years. Will be superb at Arsenal or elsewhere. Fantastic attitude, too, and so mature for a 19 year old. Big fan. So some itches work.
-
Surely not even Rasmus' pet algorithm would be THAT stupid. Would be another relegation struggle. Need to hand the club over to Potter to build a new structure. If he'd come. Which I doubt.
-
He'll keep them up and all our deluded fans of Barcelona tippy tap will be crying into their oat lattes. We should have bitten the bullet and went for old school him or Dyche to tighten up the defence and nick wins eons ago. But Rasmus and his little Sinclair Spectrum know better. Fucking cretins.
-
Ah. Yes, 'necessarily' would have been a mite different. Who needs words eh? I agree with the sentiment though. I do wonder if Viera would improve the next time, but Gerrard and Lampard look like busted flushes, certainly. If we go for Scott Parker I think I might just give up on football for good. (and watch Saints hahahahah)

However, Pep Guardiola rather makes a mockery of that blanket view.
