I totally get what you are saying, I just think there is absolutely no reason not to squeeze every last pound out of any potential transfers. Given the ridiculous transfer fees of the last few years, the premium that English players seem to demand, and the fact that shaw and lallana are on decent length contracts - we should hold out for silly money.

High points: Being bought and saved by a friendly, rich Swiss legend completely out of the blue at the last minute. Wow, I forgot he was only 22. Makes it easier to forgive a few of his inconsistent performances, and like you said - we have a lot of players who are only going to get better.
