  1. Pretty sure Jay and his agent have been discussing the contract offered and so the agent would know if it is acceptable. I would be amazed if Jay does not land at Heathrow, get in a car to SMS, jog on a treadmill for a bit and then sign on the dotted line. He is sat by the pool all day at the moment. What else has he got to think about????
  2. No, you are correct, my point is completely invalidated due to misnaming the league we are in. I am just grateful you were intelligent enough to see through it and advise everyone else what I meant.
  3. NA has promoted to the first team two of the best prospects in the country in both these positions. I would not be surprised to see Stephens and Shaw get a pretty rapid introduction to premiership football.
  4. I am not sure the Premier Leagues 4th top goal scorer - in a relegated team - would be happy to sit on anyones bench. He has been quite simply unplayable this season.
  5. In the programme a few weeks back he was interviewed and said that he was staying in the UK to get treated by the medical team here.
  6. Whilst reading through all the account stuff released this morning a thought struck me. Would we be doing as well had it been NC that sadly passed away rather than ML? I will always be grateful to ML for the money he pumped into saints, but my belief is that it was NC that saved us.
  7. Does this mean that Saints now own SMS and Staplewood themselves again? It had been mentioned before that it was the Liebherr estate that owned the bricks and mortar.
  8. Obviously they are the bestest fans in the world ™, however if they could take a leaf out of these guys, maybe they might just have a club to support next season! http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/story/_/id/7672386/german-club-dynamo-dresden-sells-stadium-ban
  9. Hahaha, surely the FL will, having listened to the blue phew who complained bitterly that Chinny met the FAPPT the last time, turn him down this time and watch them flushed down the plug hole.
  10. So this ^
  11. Matchday Live ‏ @talksportmdl Not got anything against Pompey. It is unfair that WBA are subsidising Pompey survival but not funding Coventry or Doncaster Matchday Live ‏ @talksportmdl Posh paid full wages of 2 Man Utd loan players this season. No help from Fergie Snr. Why are WBA funding Pompey survival? Matchday Live ‏ @talksportmdl I don't want Pompey to go under. WBA only helping them cos they know Appleton. Would they loan other clubs players and pay their wages?
  12. So, one of the players that are not old/good enough for their bench today, looks to be off :- Neil Allen @pn_neil_allen #Pompey defender Sam Magri is having a week's trial at Liverpool from Monday with view to a transfer. So they get rid of a kid who they wont even put in the first team, and replace with a premier player. Seriously!
  13. Forrest?
  14. I think them thinking the league is sewn up is a touch naive! looking at their fixtures, they still have to play everybody from 2nd to 16th with the exception of 13th placed Derby! we, however, do not have to play Brum(3rd), Cardiff(4th), Brighton(8th), Burnley(11th) or Leicester(12th). If West Ham do amaze me and rip through that fixture list, it will only help to strengthen our position in 2nd, but fail to do so will open the door for the title. Very, very much all to play for me thinks!
  15. Sharp will not play. Only players who where elligible for the original game can play in the replay with the exception of players that have served a suspension. Neither he nor Keogh for millwall can play. He will be elligible to play against Bolton, should we do the business tomorrow.
  16. @SkySportsPeteOPete O'Rourke Sky Sports understands Billy Sharp has now passed his medical at Southampton. #Saintsfc #DRFC
  17. Lees translator is on the pitch with the players in a saints tracksuit. Guessing Lee is playing today then!
  18. Probably not the case here. He has spent most of the last 12 months out on loan.
  19. If we put another bid in, we will get him imho. The subject must have come up last night, and Jos will be reporting back to NA as we speak. If another bid goes in, Hooper has told Jos he wants to come. If we dont, then he is truly happy where he is at the moment. Today will tell us all I reckon.
  20. Not sure there is a professional club in the land where the manager sets players transfer values. If the price is right for the board, they will sell, regardless of what Lennon thinks he is worth.
  21. Transfer window open as our form gets a hammering. I am hoping that is perfect timing. If it had been a month later we really would have been in real trouble. I think NA has been fantastic for saints since coming in, but I think his tenure will be defined in the next 4 weeks!
  22. I suggest this goes on your list for Santa :- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Roots-Collection-Original-Anniversary/dp/B000W70GY6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321878583&sr=8-1
  23. Or, sign him on 10k a week, with a 500k signing on fee. Job done.
  24. I fear if he did that, he would be truly world class, and we would not stand a chance of keeping him. This is the shame of it all really.
  25. Bit harsh dropping Adam!
