Sat by the dugout and I really think sdr will be lucky to get any match time this season. NA did not have to tell Punch once what was expected of him, whereas he wwas constantly having to tell steve where he wanted him. Steve then proceeded to ignore him. Sounded llike a tyro under 10s match at times. I think the 3 in midfield has stuck now, and was very effective I thought. Not sure sharp is the man to lead the line though.

I would expect any new CB to be pushing for Fonte's place rather than Jos's. Plus I am amazed no one seems to think Cork will start. swap Guly for Llallana and stick Cork in the middle and you may be pretty close.

I reckon the best video to gage this guys quality would be the one of all the goals he conceded last year. Being good at kicking and catching crosses is no good if he lets in sloppy goals. The best keepers may not pull of worldy saves week in, week out. What makes them great is the fact they very rarely make mistakes.

Not sure the timing indicates the importance put on the position. Deals get done when deals get done, and if you get the opportunity to sign someone, you do it, especially if they become available and others are sniffing around. Everton dont have £7mill. Newcastle wont spend £7mill on an unproven Championship striker when they have a scouting network that uncovers Cisse at just £2mill more. Villa need to sort out their manager before spunking that sort of cash. Personally, I think we are the only ones prepared to pay the money.
