  1. +4 - First ever season tickets for me and the family. Very exciting. Just couldnt say no, all 4 of us for just under £360. Bleeding Bargain.
  2. The problem with that is the Premier or Football league have no control over when the club goes into admin. The banks will call their debt in way before then me thinks.
  3. The really exciting thing is that we are not getting all het up about which of our better players are leaving, whereas most of the teams above us will be crapping themselves until the window closes. That is going to be really significant come the end of the season me thinks.
  4. But thats what I am saying. I love being competitive and going into every match with realistic asperations of coming away with a win. At the moment, that is what I have. WHEN we get promoted this season, I am sure that, with ML's help, we will be competitive next year. And I will love that as well. For me, its not about the division we are in. its about the results we are achieving. I will feel the same as I do now if we were to emulate this next season in the championship, and then again the following season in the premiership. I would also have felt it if we had got relegated to the Blue Square.
  5. So you prefer to watch us lose then? You must be hating this season. Last season must have been awesome for you though, what with it being the championship and all!!! So much more fun than this crappy div 1 stuff.
  6. No, because to get there we would have to lose more games. You really don't get it do you. I like watching us win games. The more the merrier.
  7. The choice is not ours to make is it. If you ask me which do I prefer to do - watch us win or watch us lose, I will go with the win option all day long irrespective of opponent. Considering we are winning considerably more this season than in any season in the premiership I would therefore be happier now, in this division, playing Tranmere.
  8. I would react the same way. I prefer watching us win more than watching us lose. Simple. It is not lack of ambition. It is not 'Clap Trap'. It is fact.
  9. Thats the key point though isn't it?
  10. So you would prefer to lose against Arsenal than win against Tranmere? Do you think it is more important to lose at the top flight than win at any level below it?
  11. Maybe now is a good time for the European Super League? Get rid of the Chelseas, Man Us, Arsenals etc and leave the prem full of teams capable of winning it. Always thought the ESL would kill the smaller club, maybe its the way forward.
  12. I was thinking exactly the same today. Would I rather have what we have now, or swap it for say Wigan or Bolton or even that lot down the road. Had a discussion with a younf pompey fan at the weekend. He was tryin to tell me how great it was in the premiership, watching all those world class players. I pointed out that whilst the opposition players may be world class, where was the enjoyment in watching them tear you apart week in week out. I guess the problem is, if we keep what we have, we will eventually get to the premiership, then it will all get spoilt again. Loving it at the moment though.
  13. OK, so we rest the 4 on 4 yellows tomorrow and they play against Leeds. Each one then gets their 5th in a tough encounter ending in a draw. 1 point, and 4 players now unavailable against what would have been an easily winnable game against Exeter. or Play the 4 tomorrow, they get their 1 game out of the way against leeds, we lose heroically, but have a full squad to choose from against Exeter, ending in a win. One option gives us 1 point and no JPT final, the other gives us 3 points and still in with a shot of wembley. Its never, ever straight forward..............
  14. I am not sure that it is the reporting of the information that is the key point here, moreover that NC had specifically asked for the story to wait 24 hours. My guess is that this request was due to NC wanting to ensure a professional, well presented news item of an important, POSITIVE, development. He possibly thought that if they went ahead with a short piece with no direct quotes, no models of the development etc, that the news would become somewhat diluted once the PC was finally done. You wonder if this was agreed initially, only for NC to see the piece in the morning paper!. This is not the same as having tame journos on hand to feed titbits as and when, more a move beneficial to both sides. Surely a full piece in the paper, with all the info direct form a PC would have sold more copies? All guess work of course as we have not heard anything from Saints. But my view is that The Echo will lose this one, as it does not look like NC is a man for turning.
  15. Didn't we fail to pay our players on time, twice, though? In fairness, we didn't get any points deducted for that either.

    Last 13 Games

After extra time, the game was not drawn, the scores were level. A draw would indicate the final outcome of the game. The final outcome of this game was a Win for Saints, determined by the taking of penalty kicks. Therefore, the result was a win, whoopdedoo. (last years rules but I am sure they are the same) 14.4 In the event of scores being level: - 14.4.1 at the end of ninety minutes’ play in all rounds apart from the Final; and 14.4.2 after the conclusion of the two legs in each Area Final, the winner shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of Association Football.
  17. Please, please tell me you forgot at least one smiley thingy!!!!!!!!
  18. Oh. Humour. My bad. Thought you were being a tit. Sorry. Must get out more because if i did, obviously I would find you hilarious rather than just sad.
  19. No, its because not everyone wants every single f***ing thread to end up with you and Alps *****ing. Not seen as much 'Look at me, Look at me' posting for years
  20. Times have changed a bit as it is now one of the best pitches in non-league. The guys that play on top of it however............ Pernecky played last night keeping a clean sheet and helping Bognor to their second win of the season. Bognor also played their other new signing, an 18yr old striker from poopey!
  21. Dindane plays for the Ivory Coast. Not sure if that is a big miss though!!!!
  22. Its the difference between hope and expectation. At the start of the season, I would have said that it was unrealistic to EXPECT anything other than survival. We all HOPED for more. Circumstances have now changed, dramatically, so my expectation has increased, but my hope is the same, Play offs. If we were to play Man U next week, I would HOPE to beat them, but I would EXPECT to lose.
  23. Who would you drop? I think THIS squad is already capable of promotion.
  24. i wonder if we got him on one of those 'on loan with a view to a permanent move' agreements. Get him into that office and give the lad a pen!
