  1. I'm not sure anyone is coming in to buy you anyway, hence the 5 year deal on the cva. If you get it agreed, parachute payments and player sales will pay the cva in full. I can see you getting away with just a few years with a cr@p squad but ultimately debt free.
  2. What I dont understand is surely if a company is in administration, all income must go to the administrator, who will then distribute it as he sees fit (in a fair and equal measure perhaps). How can the PL be allowed to dictate which creditor gets repaid and how much? Surely all the unsecured creditors must be dealt with the same? Or am i being monumentally thick here.
  3. I have absolutely no idea why but I read that with a Bill McClaren voice in my head!
  4. The problem is that the deal they are trying to tie up is that the players get loaned back and are allowed to continue playing for the club. Therefore they have brought in a signing on fee, reduced the wage bill and still got the player playing for them. Does not seem right somehow.
  5. If swindon, colchester and huddersfield repeat their last 10 results, and we beat swindon tomorrow, I reckon we can drop 6 points and still sneak into 6th on goal difference.
  6. A very quick look at current form is quite interesting. Providing we beat Swindon tomorrow, if the 3 other teams vying for the 5th & 6th place (colchester, huddersfield and swindon) repeat their last 10 results, colchester would have 80, swindon would have 78 and huddersfield would have 71. We would therefore have to gain another 28 points from our remaining 11 games to draw level with swindon in 6th place, but our GD means we go above them. That means we can drop 6 more points. Swindon, whilst having been on a fantastic run, still have to play 4 of the top 5. Huddersfield still have to play 3 (charlton, millwall and colchester), whilst we only have to play Charlton. Colchester only need to get the jitters and they could drop down a touch as well. With the weather improving the pitches, I still think that is very, very doable, PROVIDING WE BEAT SWINDON TOMORROW.
  7. IMHO, the difference is the 2 of them continually switch, thus leaving the 2 full backs unsure of who or what they are marking. If they were to stay on the same sides for the entire game, the opposition would be able to settle. Plus both are far and away superior players of course.
  8. Chanrai now has a 15 year income due to the dodgy asset striping that took place over the weekend. He is sorted either way, money fully laundered.
  9. We wont qualify next season, what with being in the championship and that!!!!
  10. Isn't it usual to get Proof of Funds BEFORE allowing them to look at the books... Thats them f***ed then.
  11. I don't know what the definition of 'insolvent' is in legal terms, but I would imagine that a business that has to borrow money each month to service its regular payments would pretty much be it. When I used to work in the lending department at the bank, if you had to use your credit card to pay your mortgage, you were f***ed, and the bailiffs where generally in a few months later. End of.
  12. Aheeem.. Sky Sports 7th January 2010 Not what the StoryTeller was saying.....
  13. Therein lies your problem for next season. Half your team are made up of loanee's, the other half will not play in the CCC. Get relegated without any huge cash injection and I reckon you will keep on falling. Youth experiment anyone? And that is why no one will buy you. Too big a risk when there are much more 'stable' clubs out there (Palarce?)
  14. Ok, difficult to say exactly what will happen, but I would be most surprised if your Pheonix club will be given professional status. There is not a lot of precedence around in truth, however I would have thought that you would need some sort of benefector to start you up, the running costs on the stadium on its own will be astronomical and someone will end up owning the ground after the sh1t has hit the fan. You will be reliant on them letting you play with their ball, and I for one cannot see it happening.
  15. Thats fine, although on the southern news a week or so ago, the bloke from the council did state that the order was in place to prevent the club from being turfed out of the stadium. He added that the order COULD be reviewed in the event of no club being in existence. I dont think its nailed on that if the club goes to the wall, the stadium will stay. This, I believe, is the end game for Gadyamark!
  16. Surely this is carp though. If the conmpany gets liquidated, surely Gadyamark will own the stadium, and he aint gonna let some tin pot league 2 team play there when he could be redeveloping it and recouping some of his lost money. Also, league 2, cos they are too big, dont make me laugh! Its not as if they will retain ANY of their current squad is it. They will have to restart in the BSq with a players nicked from Havant and Eastleigh.
  17. They must also weigh up the likelyhood of the 7.5 mil debt increasing if things are left as they are. They can take the 1.8m now, and give the skates another 2 months to get the rest together, meantime they could have increased the debt by up to 2m, with them still with the same decisions to make. 7.5m debt has now become 7.7m debt. I say cut your losses and run Mr Taxman.
  18. Does that make us the Barcelona of league one now?
  19. Will also stop us looking like Exeter and god knows how many other FlyBe Clones out there.
  20. The report specifically says that the replica shirt will be without a headline sponsor. Does that mean that the actual team shirt will also be sponsorshipless or will our replica shirts not be a replica?
  21. The Ipswich game proved that we can have half a team of first choice, CCC standard players OUT OF THE TEAM, and still come away with a result. I would be worried if the only 2 midfield players we had a t the club was James and Wotton, but we dont. How many other teams in the CCC, let alone League 1, would have acheived what we acheived on saturday with the players we had out?
  22. What bloody annoys is they say he followed the letter of the rules to send him off, yet he seemed to have spilt coffee all over his copy of the rule book on the Handball page!!!
  23. James wont miss the next game, the 5 yellow rule ran out at the turn of the year. Davis was being the senior pro and sticking up for the younger player. Happens at all levels of the game and is spot on, well done Kelv.
  24. Sums up your indeep knowledge of football tbh. So, the fact we have 3 new defenders playing, who incidently are keeping a clean sheet, something we have not done away from home all season, is the reason why we are defending so much! I would have thought it was the fault of the midfield or strikers, but hey, guess you know best.
  25. Something aint right. Surely noone goes and says good bye to team mates BEFORE actually signing the contract! That just sounds like madness to me. I dont understand how the whole transfer stuff works, granted, but surely there is a contract with stuff in it. You like the stuff, you sign it there and then. You dont like the stuff, you ask for it to be changed. You then get the new contract, you now like the stuff, you sign the contract. Why did he not sign the contract?
