  1. Hence why it should be 'he stands at nearly 6 foot 3'
  2. I would keep Pardew over Hughes in the lower leagues any day. You can see by his signings already in Lambert Punch and Fonte that he knows how to spot a player at this level. I very much doubt Hughes would come to us anyway, surely he would get a better offer from a Prem club. If we got rid of Pardew now it would rank up there with Sturrock and Pearson leaving, both totally unjustified and landed us in a mess. I thought these days were over after getting rid of Lowe but maybe not.
  3. Get rid of James, ok as cover but still totally unsure of his best position. I'd keep either Thomas or Otsemebor as cover, preferably both if Thomas is willing to take a wage cut because he can cover CB or RB. Murty will retire.
  4. Skacel was awful for us, would definitely have Lallana in ahead of him.
  5. Oh and subs.... Davis Bale Baird Richards A.Svensson Fernandes Phillips I can't believe some people have actually put Ostlund on here, great character but he was pretty awful
  6. Niemi Dodd M.Svennson Lundekvam Bridge Pahars Marsden Oakley Walcott Beattie Crouch Attacking line up but would produce loads of goals!
  7. Too old, too lightweight and too bigger ego. I can't understand why some fans on here even consider signing new central midfielders when we have the legend that is Paul Wotton on our books. Ridiculous
  8. Rickie's equaliser against skates... Putting 5 past Rovers away... Meeting MLT after the JPT win
  9. Loved this one! Never really caught on til the last few aways but Bristol Rovers and Gillingham it was sung quite a bit! Also loved the dodgy keeper chant at the Rovers keeper before he totally missed Lambert's free kick! Still got Wotton on the bench at Rovers another good one! And of course Oh Papa Waigo he's always offside! Really enjoyed this season first time in about 5-10 years we've had really funny original chants
  10. Gills would be up there for the same reasons even though the football was shocking! Also Bristol Rovers for the fantastic football we played and the excitement of finding out the huddersfield score as the game progressed, really felt like we had a chance of play off that night!
  11. Sounds like you had a great day out! On the other hand I had a brilliant day, game was crap but the atmosphere in the Southern Belle was excellent, met some class Gillingham fans, few pikeys as well of course! But all in all a great away day, bar the result!

    Wade Elliott

No I'd play them together, imagine Lallana Elliot and Puncheon/Antonio in behind Lambert with the option of Barnard to bring into the equation.
  13. Do Do Do! I miss Viafara, would love his passion back in the side
  14. Superb Rickie, fully deserved! Southampton's goal machine!!

    Wade Elliott

Would absolutely love to sign him, remember watching him at Bournemouth in his earlier days when I was at uni. Doubt he would drop 2 divisions though.
  16. If we can right off the 35K debt I'd be happy to have him! Would never pay £1m for him though, towards the end of his career and not in the same bracket as Lambert and Fonte
  17. Personally I hate this chant, any fan who has travelled to an away game obviously is not a sh*t supporter. Especially travelling this distance.
  18. No Wotton would have got the ball three times, given it away three times and conceded three free kicks!
  19. Yeah cracking away day! Having only been to 3 away games so far this season this would definitely be in my top 3! The other 2 were Swindon and Brighton, not exactly memorable games! Fantastic atmosphere at Rovers, awesome performance and being on the terraces made it even better. Hopefully this Saturday will be another cracker! COYR
  20. Booked train ticket yesterday, really looking forward to this now even if there is nothing riding on it! Hopefully be as good an atmosphere and performance as Bristol Rovers. Any ideas on which pub to head to from the train station, where are the majority of fans going? COYR!
  21. Lambert without a doubt. 2nd: Lallana 3rd: Harding
  22. Also, all this talk of pulling out of cup competitions is ridiculous! We won the JPT, had a fantastic day out at Wembley and will defend it next year if we don't go up.
  23. I was in the same mind as you, believing that "mid-table with a late play-off push" would be a good season. Therefore I don't understand how this season has, as you put it: "ended up coming a bit short". We have been mid table or above since the turn of the year, constantly making slight ground up on the sides above us, resulting in our highest position of the season, 2 places off the play offs. We now have 3 games left and a chance (very, very slim at that) but still an outside chance of making the play offs. If that isn't mid table with a late play-off push I don't know what is!! COYR 3 wins and who knows.....
  24. Puncheon in the middle of a two doesn't really work IMO, I think lallana would do a much better job in there as he uses the ball more wisely and does work very hard. No point playing Wotton we need to win all our games.
  25. This is a great idea. I think the theme's add to the atmosphere, Antti Niemi day was brilliant! Waigo is by far the biggest character in the team, we could all bring senegal flags and do the waigo dance!
