After the summer it will be Adkins squad, fingers crossed in the Championship with nearly a whole season to assess his players and see what is needed to compete at the next level. As previously mentioned, not much is sorted in January transfer windows. We have done well to secure the services of two of our best players and possibly address the short term problem of a lack of pace and options out wide and up front.

Exactly, he obviously has the right qualities for a captain. However, it is good to see another midfielder communicating and motivating and Chaplow did a great job alongside Morgan on Sat, so Hammond looks like he'll struggle to even start let alone be captain.

I watched the first 10 mins or so then got so bored I switched off and that was not becasuse of the lack of Saints coverage, just the poor quality in general. What made me laugh the most was the programme description after A Question of Sport had finished. The voice over guy said, coming up all your local 'grassroots' football... Grassroots! I know its not the Premier League but describing the whole of the Football League as 'grassroots' is a bit of an insult!

Good news for me too, can watch it after playing myself. Obviously a loss though now its on sky.

Only started going in 1993-1994 when I was about seven and throughout the 90's I always knew them as Scummers or Pompey Scum.

I refuse to get the Bingo buses anymore, not for any of the reasons above but purely for the lack of atmosphere. I went to the Cup Semi Final at Villa Park in 2003 on the Bingo bus and when we got back on there was no singing or cheering whatsoever. Most boring form of transport ever, but I never go to games to intimidate the general public or get into a "cheeky punch up".

I think this is a fantastic idea. One of the major problems with youth team players in the modern game is that they have everything handed to them on a plate from the age of about 14-15. If they see that they need to work harder to get to the highest standards it may eliminate some of the attitude that current youngsters have. The idea of Pulis sitting on his own would also be priceless and Lallana sitting on a throne at the top of the canteen.

Oh Papa Waigo... He's always offside! I would love him back if only for the chant. On a serious note though, he would give us another much needed wide option, especially with Holmes constantly picking up injuries and the risk of over playing Chamberlain.

I don't think this is a bit pricey at all. It is slightly less than a league game in most areas and we are playing a Premier League team in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Personally I would rather go to this than the majority of league games, with the exception of Bournemouth, Brighton and a couple of others.

Have to keep an eye out for that Ward-Prose, I love the fact our academy makes a mockery of the skates.

I agree with this. I almost think he is too much of a luxury in this league, as you need one midfielder to win the tackles and headers (Hammond) and one who will burst forward and get the odd goal (Chaplow). Although technically Morgan is better than both of these players on the whole, he is better than neither at the above mentioned aspects of his game. Therefore it makes it very difficult to fit him in, unless we play 3 centre mids.

Surely it will only be on one channel?? I'm sure FC United against the skates will be on telly too if they get past Brighton.
