  1. To be fair, Wolves v Birmingham is probably worse.
  2. He's won the league he's been in for the last 7 years or something stupid. Hardly over rated. Unreal talent.
  3. It's a lovely expectation. One I'm sure everyone would agree with. Howver, it's hardly realistic is it? Unfortunately for us selling clubs need to agree to sell before we can sign. Shock horror, clubs don't really want to agree to sell early in transfer windows, unless they have themselves something lined up..which then brings in another selling club into the equation and the cycle is seemingly never ending. This leads to the last week of the transfer window being frantic, the last day becoming mental..... Teams become desperate and either up the money they are willing to spend or lower their selling demands. Clubs like to get the best deal possible for themselves. This leads them to hoping/expecting/waiting for better deals to become available (Both selling and signing). Further to clubs stalling you also have players stalling. Players are probably the most in control. They might get offered something early in the window and have the right to think "If they are offering me this now...Imagine what they OR even better...a bigger club... might offer me if I just stall for a bit longer". Despite it being seemingly easy on paper...Transfers rely on the subjective nature of humans past experiences, feelings, emotions, demands and self values... We can pre plan all we want...If another club or player doesn't agree to the terms we ourselves feel is right to offer them then they won't sign and negotiations, stalling, and games (media and boardroom) get played. Just look at the lack of transfer activity in England so far and other transfer windows for proof that more deals happen later in the window. That's common sense to me.
  4. Got the quote and link for that btw?
  5. He'll be involved against Leicester. Almost certain the club won't miss out on an opportunity to show off the new Asian signing on TV in a game against another team with an Asian player and Asian owners and fan base.
  6. Because his other striking option is Samaras? Pretty sure he's wanted another striker for a while now. Nothing to do with Hooper.
  7. Does it really? He's a left back who unlike Harding has no experience of playing right back. Infact...No. No it doesn't beg that question at all.
  8. Coventry fan at the game on another message board saw this forum and laughed. Stating he was truly terrible today.
  9. Agree with the rest of your post but blown it big time? Seriously?
  10. Am I the only one who thought Tarrico was pretty good against us until he went (quite rightly) mental at the ref?
  11. We are better against better teams. Teams that open up. All those teams will fancy themselves against us. Forest possibly not but they'll have to start scoring soon and will hopefully make for an open game. I think we will come through the period well.
  12. http://www.firstpost.com/topic/person/tadanari-lee-20100925--video-mIIb4wzj1BQ-68961-3.html I think.
  13. Cheers for pointing out the link on the OS. Looking at the form, if I want 3 tickets, do I fill out one form with 3 names and 3 ST Numbers on it, or do I fill out 3 different forms and put them all together in one envelope. The problem with that being, I only want to use one card to pay for it all.
  14. What sort of info should be in this application then? ST Numbers, Card number, start/expiry date? ... Cheers.
  15. Have you not heard about their plans? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2051618/What-agent-Willie-McKay-doing-Doncaster-Rovers.html Terrible terrible idea.
  16. The 5 sub rule has sent us tits up in that regard. Can't really stick a kid on the bench any more in the hope that we can bring them on if we are far enough ahead (For example Chamberlain against Huddersfield) and it means big squads seem even bigger and players like Holmes are now only seen in League Cup games.
  17. Problem with bringing in a loan player (I'm assuming you mean a striker) is as soon as they come in they displace one of De Ridder/Chaplow from the bench, which in turn knocks Barnard down the order as he's coming back soon enough and god knows where that leaves Forte. Whether we believe Forte is good enough, having him at the club that far down is pointless so until he gets a loan out, someone can't come in. While on the face of it we might seem to have a lack of strikers, we actually don't. We have Barnard coming back, De Ridder who can play up there, Guly too. Versatility in abundance really. Holmes, Chaplow etc, and our young players which we seem intent on bringing through all need to be given an opportunity before we bring someone in who isn't going to be here on a long term basis.
  18. Won me my first goal scorer bet...top lad! Just need Guly to net one before he's dragged off and my 89/1 double is in!
  19. Hudson and Lee Naylor will most probably be fit to play.
  20. While Claridge says nice things about us he speaks utter poo about pretty much everything else.
  21. Pretty sure some of our goals have come straight from Kelvin playing it out from the back. A great tactic in theory and at times in practice but we must make sure we don't get caught out like we caught out Brighton when they came to St Marys last season and tried similar stuff. They didn't have other options. We clearly have 4 options at goal kicks. 1) Centre backs pull wide and collect. 2) Centre back pull wide, Cork or Hammond come and collect. 2) If that doesn't work the Centre backs come in side allowing Richardson or Fox to drop and collect and if that fails 4) Hit long to Rickie. Bar a couple of times at the end of the game yesterday we used it perfectly for me.
  22. From looking at the U21's squad playing as we speak it's clear that Dean, Ward Prowse, Hoskins, Reeves (if none of them are on the bench) and possibly others may have travelled tonight. Stephens though has not. Bart, Butters, Martin, Dean, Reeves, De Ridder, Morgan, Chaplow, Holmes, Lambert and Guly is my guess.

    Sam Baldock

MK Dons have lined up Charlie McDonald from Brentford, so pretty certain Baldock is off and Barnard won't be involved in the transfer.
  24. Sent Off and missed a penalty since they played us. Hardly on fire.
  25. Do you have to post that on every thread? Not that I disagree or agree with you but you keep posting the same message.
